The brewpub has historic presence in the city. The upper floor of the gastropub is warm and comfortable. The deck is excellent, especially in the summer, for watching the Coho, Clipper and Float Planes wander by. The food is pretty much what you would expect from a pub. Nothing stands out, but nothing is horrible. Personally I find the beer selection, although wide and ranging, to be pretty pedestrian. Spinnakers been feels a bit watery to my palate and I have yet to find something I would call a go to favorite. That said, there are usually new things to try out and experiment with.

Another amazing meal and great beer. Came for the Dine Around Victoria menu and was not disappointed. The portions for each course were big enough for a bit of take home (no austentatious displays of tiny amounts of food) and everything was truly delicious. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming and we got to watch the snow fall over the ocean. Thanks for such a lovely night Spinnakers

The last beer we ordered was 3 minutes before 3pm happy hours, we didn't realize it at the time and our server never offered to wait to put the order in the 3 minutes for us. When we asked if we could slip it under the happy hour window, they said no. It's not about the $2, it's about whether or not they gave a hoot. There are way too many eating establishments with happy hours with better service for us to consider going back to this place.

Such a lovely ambiance is this restaurant that you immediately feel comfortable upon walking in.Most of the tables look out over the harbour and the Songhees walkway which winds its way along the waterfront. The waitresses were terrific and because it was nearing noon we had our choice of either the breakfast menu or the lunch menu. We chose lunch and had a good choice of offerings. I had the chowder and my friend had a sourdough grilled cheese sandwich with a small side salad. The food was piping hot and looked very appetizing. Sadly the delicious chowder only came with a small half slice of fresh bread without butter. Whatever happened to garlic toast. The chowder itself was a delicious flavour but had very few pieces of fish in it and nary a prawn or clam that was definable. Not that I like a chowder filled with potatoes but there were only a few and a few specks of carrots. So for $20.00, it sadly lacked. They make their own lovely breads but a cold half slice of unbuttered bread is not chowder worthy. However my friend's grilled cheese sandwich looked exactly like what I should have ordered. It was a generous size and nicely grilled and cheddar cheese oozing out of it. My friend said it was yummy. At a reasonable $12.00, it will be my next lunch choice if I go back. My lager beer was good, the service excellent, atmosphere warm and inviting and much to my surprise they not only brew their own beer but they also have their own branded mineral water and they sell handmade chocolates and scones and ice cream all of their own branded mineral water. Brilliant for them with this smart marketing idea! I'll be back but it won't be for chowder.

I have come there about three or four times, and I just love it. I love the mineral water the most, ha ha. I often order roasted mushroom pizza as it is delicious. I wish there were more options on the menu for vegetarians or vegans like a veggie burger on actual bun and fries. I'm not quite sure you know in your restaurants besides mcdonald who don't serve veggie burgers So, really, the only choice is the pizza for me to eat. Good thing I enjoy it. Your growler fills are great with the miller beer. Sometimes before we come in, as you can see, my girl who I had seen her on the other side go for a swim thrn head up. I just wish the dog part was warm and totally enclosed so she could go in the water and get warm inside after. My girl LOVES your homemade cookies. I make my own but am tired of baking them, so we come to you. I love the place. Only a 4 star because of no veggie burger on the menu. But I highly recommend your restaurant/ brewery and pub for every time else See you the next 100 visits
