McCoy's Contraband is a tropical stout that is as dark as the night. It has notes of chocolate, roasted coffee, citrus, plum, toffee and demerara sugar with a pronounced silky earthy spice we get from the addition of rye malt. Being on nitro it has a creamy texture and a bright hoppiness from Chinook, Citra and Amarillo for the citrus and tropical notes with all the stout notes you love. It’s 8.3% ABV and 36 IBU with a nice long finish.

Me and my friends been there for the first time and place was really nice, cozy and great service. We reached on kitchen closing time and chef was already left , but still another member from the bar( may be was the owner) initiative and made Delicious nachos for us. It was great service.

Best pub in Dartmouth! The food menu is carefully crafted and the brews are diverse and very well made. Grab a seat at the outdoor patio with a view of the harbour.

My spouse and I had dinner at New Scotland Brewing Company last night. They have just opened their new location about 2 months in. There are some growing pains. We did not have reservations and we, like everyone else wanted patio seating, but it was full. We waited a little long to get seated and we're offered a great selection of beers but a bunch of the taps were not working. We ordered our food and it arrived within minutes, almost too fast. My wife ordered a glass of wine but it got behind a bunch of flight orders so I had to ask for it. The response was that I put the order in Food was really good, much better than pub I had shrimp pasta dish and she had exceptional good gnocchi with Brussels sprouts. We look forward to going again when they get the front of house / back of house better coordinated.

A perfect score! 10 out of 10! (my wife shares my opinion). We had the Beef Jerker (burger week entry) with fries. It pairs perfectly with the Slowburn Chocolate Chilli Porter! For dessert we had the Gingerbread. OMG!!!! All were perfection. The wait staff, Elliyah and Erin - forgive me if the spelling is off, we're an absolute delight. A perfect example of how the right atmosphere can lift a meal to new heights. They gave me and my wife one of the best pub experiences of my life and I'm no spring chicken. Also my compliments to the chef. I don't think they could have made it any better unless they came up with some sort of spicy ketchup for the fries.
