Big, bold, and bitter! India Pale Ale was fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Citrus, tropical fruit, pine, and floral hop flavours and aromas overpower the malty sweet body. Wort hopped, hop burst, and then dry hopped, our flagship IPA pairs perfectly with all things spicy or cheesy, and poultry or fish.

Wow. What an amazing place. We came here after I randomly purchased some of their Dirty Blonde beer from the grocery store. I never realized the variety of delicious and full-bodied beers this brewery has to offer. Natalie and John made us feel right at home and helped us decided which beers to try. They were incredible hosts and we really enjoyed talking with them. Thank you both (and Nine Locks Brewing) for a memorable evening. Btw, my offer still stands, if you want to give us a few cases of your beer, when we cross back into the States, we'll make sure they are properly distributed!! :) Cheers!

Tanya and the team are awesome! Always friendly! The atmosphere is amazing. The Jakes lager is very tasty. In the summer food trucks are around almost every afternoon and their happy hour prices make it a great spot to stop on the way home. 10/10

We held our 40th anniversary in business party and the Nine Locks team hosted us in their taproom. Amazing from the word go. Planner Tanya was fantastic and did a great job helping us plan and connected us with everything and everyone we needed. More than happy and everyone had a great time. Thank you!

They have moved a few yards up the road into brand new premises, what an improvement! A large retail area including takeout beer, a tasting bar, growler refills and a full bar with table service. Plus a nice patio. They don't sell food but they have chips and snacks, and you can bring your own food in or get it delivered while you drink. Such a superb expansion of their business, this is now a go-to place and you can combine it with a food visit to the MicMac Tavern too (which also sells a lot of Nine Locks beer!)

Lovely new location, with a nice self serve tap room and dog friendly patio area. My one recommended would be to add value by adding a 5$ rotating pint, like some other craft tap rooms in HRM. I do like how they allow outside food that you can bring to pair with their brews.
