This collaboration with our friends from Twin Sails Brewing started one fateful night in the town of Dunham. We were lodged together in a house on a hill, for Brasserie Dunham’s Foudres Unis festival. After sharing a few beers, the plan for this collab was hatched! We departed from our usual base wort, opting to include Cara Aroma and Munich malts. After fermenting for 16 months in Spanish red wine barrels the resulting blend has medium acidity, bright red fruit notes, light wine tannin, and a dry finish.

Mega pink is a very unique beer we lovingly call an Aperitivo Beer. We first put the blend of 2 year mixed fermentation on currant pomace. We then added herbs and spices from vermouth and amaro, to add botanical complexity and bitterness. The result is a beer with refreshing acidity texture and carbonation, typical of Blind Enthusiasm, with the bitterness, spice and botanical qualities of vermouth and amaro. This creates a product with serious negroni vibes but with a sprits. The perfect beer for a warm sunny patio.

4 Year Spontaneous Fermentation Blend Historically brewers would take the brewery’s highest quality barrels to make a blend that would showcase their best product. When scavenging our barrel cellars, the brewers came across barrels that were of such exemplary quality, they knew it would be a perfect homage to such blends. The use of only 4 year barrels highlights the depth and complexity that can be developed when time and attention is given. The result is a blend that has balance and poise in its acidity & texture, deep wine, leather, & tobacco flavours, and a complex range of fruit & floral aromatics.
