Sweet but not too sweet! Deep copper colour. Made with Canada’s own best-selling BillyBee honey. Medium body with a flavour aroma of roast malt and a delicate honey aftertaste that deliciously tickles the tongue.

Absolutely smashing first visit to Old Credit Brewing. Stopped in on a whim, returning to Hamilton from Toronto. Had a great chat with Brandon, grandson of the founder. Sampled each of OCBs three brews, the Amber Ale, Pale Pilsner, and Holiday Honey. Clearly, a focus on a few brews is a recipe for success. My partner and I enjoyed all three brews and came home with some of each. And apparently I'm getting a new T-shirt for Christmas. The shelves and shelves of items customers have brought in are a wonderful personal touch. Steins, glassware, statues, pictures, and what caught my partner's eye - wooden shoes! Local brewery, family business, great beer! I'm excited for the spring for patio weather and hoping OCB will recreate their outdoor patio. Thanks, Brandon, for such a warm welcome! Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Old Credit Brewing offers incredible beer made in a fire heated copper kettle which you can see from the window outside. It is aged at a low temp for two weeks while the brew master makes sure it is fully fermented, meaning minimal unfermentable sugar left over. I do not get bloated when I drink this beer and I don't taste a bitter after taste...every other beer makes me bloated and almost always has a bitter after taste. The beer is also ice aged at -3 degrees for 8 weeks, I have never heard of any beer that includes that amount of care. No pasteurization, no additives, no preservatives, just triple filtered pure beer. I have been to my fair share of breweries and I can say for certain that this brewery is way above average in cleanliness and the customer service is solid. I would recommend to anyone looking for a family oriented special brew. My favourite is the Pale Pilsner. Cheers.

We stopped at this brewery on our way to Niagara from Toronto and it was great. Brandon showed us around the brewery and explained how they make their beer. We tried all the beers they had on tap and they were really tasty. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a drink and a tour if you have the time! Everyone's very friendly, the place is very cool (they have outdoor seating) and the beers taste great!

Old Credit Brewing is such a quaint and cute family-run business! We came here for a free tour, led by Brandon (the grandson of the founder Aldo - whom we even got to meet - at age 89, he's super young and sharp!). There, we learned all about the brewing process - from how the malts are boiled, what sparging entails, the fermentation and maturation process, etc. We even got to taste their pale pilsner and amber ale beers! The beers at OCB definitely have a clearer, purer taste. There's minimal aftertaste (apparently, the ice aging process helps ensure most of the sugar is fermented, which helps minimize bloat as well). It was so great - and this is coming from someone who despises the taste of beer. Their honey beer (Holiday Honey) is available only for sale, so we bought a bottle of it. It was great, but I definitely preferred the amber ale. Will definitely come again to support some of our small, local businesses!

Popped by the bottle shop at the brewery for a few cans. I loved it! An old school vibe with friendly staff and incredible brews. The beer Itself was fantastic. I tried the honey ale and the Pilsner. Both were clean and crisp with a hint of sweetness and the perfect amount of balancing bitterness. I really respect how this brewery makes only 3 beers and does them well. They aren't chasing fads and dry hopping or making everything hazy or sour. Just good fresh, classic, beer. Cheers to that!
