A variant of the farm ales that can be found in the Wallonia region of Belgium. The yeast, from a Trappist Monk Abbey, imparts interesting exotic flavours. Unfiltered, slightly cloudy.

Brewed primarily for the GCBF. This IPA was formulated with classic English malts used along with traditional hops from the UK and Europe. David Beardsell : I put this beer together to maybe show what an IPA of 150 years ago would taste like. All malt from the UK including some Smoked malt from Warminster ( All malt back then was kilned over a wood or peat fire and would have has some sort of smoke taste.) Starting Gravity was 1.080 Finishing was 1.016 for an ABV of 8.4% acl/vol Hops are Bramling Cross, Goldings East Kent Goldings and Styrian Goldings. Total IBU's are 93 The casks will be fined with Isinglass.
