Really enjoyed meeting the owner & brewmaster yesterday. He treated us incredibly well and you can't beat the price or taste if you enjoy locally brewed IPAs. I walked away with a 24 of the Alpha Bomb. Feeling festive and lucky!!

An unexpectedly fun little tap room hidden inside a small industrial park in rural Kanata. Beware that they keep odd hours (open till 4pm Sat, closed Sun and open weekdays till 8pm). Otherwise I have visited the brewery on several Saturdays and had the entire place to myself sans barkeeper. Most of the bartenders are chatty and friendly. The brewery does have limited food options during weekdays which is popular with the local IT crowd. There are no food options on Saturday ... but dont be afraid to pick up a pizza and take it inside with you and enjoy a few beers with friends. The barkeepers wont mind. Big Rig has a good selection of craft beer options that range from fantastic to mediorcre. They have several beers on tap and tall boys and growlers to go.This place is popular with the local beer tours and I am surprise it isn't more well known in Kanata.

AMAZING service! I've been going to their restaurant in Gloucester for a while and enjoy their Bongo radler, but I have family members from out of town that LOVE the Gold lagered ale. It was out of stock online when I looked last week so I emailed them and a rep responded very quickly to let me know when it would be back in stock. I made an order for local delivery and it was delivered the same day and the driver brought it up to my unit for me in a dolly since it would be too heavy for me. I'm very impressed with the friendly and fast service, and I'll make some people very happy for Christmas now!
