"Our inspiration for this beer comes from our family who have been farming in Bristol, Quebec since 1925. This 150 acre farm has seen a lot of change over the years but still remains in the family. We first started out with dairy cattle and now are farming soybeans and hay. This stout offers a balance of roasted malts and residual sweetness."

Staff Pick # 11 Despite being born and raised in Ottawa, Danny's family roots come from the North Shore of Nova Scotia. His Grandmother Molly MacFarlane is from Williams Point and his Grandfather Ralph McCallum is from Truro. When it came to choosing a style for his Staff Pick, Danny wanted something that would represent the East Coast so a NEIPA was an ideal choice. This beer offers flavours of fruit, citrus and hops with a soft and fluffy mouthfeel

The first steamboat on the Ottawa River was the sidewheel paddle-steamer Lady Colborne. Starting in 1832, this 100 foot long passenger steamer worked on the Ottawa between Aylmer and Fitzroy four times a week in each direction, for the seven months that the river was open each year. Dampfbier (German for steam beer), is a rare centuries-old style, and was traditionally known as a beer for the common folk. Brewed with German weizen yeast, this all malt brew has hints of clove and a mild hop finish. This beer was formally known as Dartmouth Common

Our inspiration for this beer comes from the storied lumber industry on the Ottawa River, and the massive log booms that would be towed downstream to the sawmills. These log booms contained hundreds of pine trees and became most well known with the iconic image of a broken boom on the back of the Canadian One Dollar Bill. We brew this beer with an abundance of four different hop varietals, to provide complex and assertive aromas of pine and citrus.

Popped in with my big man to Kichesippi Brewery on Robertson Road after a day of large purchases. Highly recommend, great beer and cocktails, food, and atmosphere. I would have given it five stars, but the outside needs some love, and it's a bit dicey getting in and out with them traffic.

Excellent beer and awesome staff! So many choices of beer and even great finger foods! There's even something for non-beer drinkers. A small but delicious menu for those seeking a nibble. There's also food trucks to enjoy and a seasonal summer beer garden! Come enjoy and support an awesome local brewery and you can even bring some home! Oh! It's also a pet friendly establishment! We enjoyed petting a few!

As a happening place in Bells Corners, it's a good brewery for small events and just hanging out for drinks. The extensive outdoor patio is great for this! The downside is the food from the brewery itself: it's fine but it isn't the most amazing menu. Though, considering the fact that the bar is effectively the kitchen, I'd say it logistically makes sense! And unfortunately the food trucks are seasonal making the food selection rather minute (probably due to city permits or something along those lines... Ottawa things!). But, coffee? Baked goods? All from local peeps? How great is that. The taproom is excellent, and I love the dog friendliness of course - I haul Scarlett everywhere with me usually. And it must be said that the store supports other breweries, which is totally cool! (This is no longer the case, or so it seems...)
