(vul’·pew·lin) : of, relating to, or resembling a fox-like creature grown entirely out of hop bines. Hop farmers of the Pacific Northwest have reported sightings of an ethereal creature romping around their hop yards under the full moon. The Vulpes Lupulus has been described as a creature made from the bines themselves, causing the plants to wave and dance in the moonlight even when no breeze is present. Nonbelievers say it’s nothing more than a common fox out on her nightly hunt. While no hard evidence has been documented, we happen to believe in these wild tales. Our fabled brew embodies the spirit of this crafty hop farm dweller. Bursting with Citra, Mosaic, Cascade, and Centennial, Vulpulin IPA grabs your senses and takes you on a midnight frolic through the hops yards.

Style: Farmhouse Ale - Grisette
ABV: 5.6 IBU: 25
Grisette is a Belgian style ale which was originally brewed in the Hainaut province to be the beer of the miners in the area, just as Saison was the beer of the farmers. It was lighter than Saison and frequently contained wheat as well as barley malt (as does the Sly Fox version). The name is derived from the French word for "gray," referring to both the drab factory frocks worn by the young women (the grisettes) who doled out pints as the men exited from the mines, and also the color of the cobblestone rock being mined.

Style: Red Ale - Irish
ABV: 5.5 IBU: 20
Our interpretation of a classic Irish red ale has a balanced profile with notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted malt. It also exhibits hints of biscuit, nuttiness, and a subtle earthy or floral hop character coming from Centenntial and East Kent Goldings hops. The malt sweetness is complemented by a mild bitterness, resulting in a smooth and easy-drinking beer with a medium body and a clean finish.

It's a nice bar. The suicidal wings were less hot than Frank's Red Hot and while my wings were fine, my friend's were a bit "soggy" (as he described them)... Dry ribs were nice and crispy. Overall food is decent. But the place has good music and good vibes.

Had lunch there on Friday. 1/2 rack ribs with pasta salad and corn bread. The corn bread was delicious, the ribs were fall off the bone and slightly spicy, Pasta Salad was acceptable. It says Dill pickle and bacon but I couldn't taste or find the bacon and the Dill pickle was overpowering. The atmosphere is dark. Low light, dark woodwork. Our experience was that service was slow. It was lunch. Well patronized with lots of customers and two servers. The price was right. It's a 4 for me

Had the Friday special (1/2 rack with pasta salad and corn bread). The ribs were excellent. They were fall of the bone with a really nice sauce that was a little spicy. Corn bread was good, pasta salad was fine but forgettable. The valuable, however, was about as good as you can get. It is easy these days to drop $15 on fast food. For that price, you can get ribs and a non-alcoholic drink. These aren't poor quality ribs either. They were better than ribs I've paid twice as much for at other restaurants. Service was very good and the food came out fast. I haven't explored the rest of the menu but I was certainly impressed with the quality and value with what I had so far.

Both the dry ribs and the Greek salad are very good! No tomatoes.. but I'll get by. Vegetables are nice & fresh. Crisp. Good feta too. Ribs are quite good, crispy outside, tender inside. Good taste! Good toast as well, but for my own personal preference, more garlic, please!

Solid visit. Stopped in after work to have a drink with my wife. Sat at the bar, Chris (?) Was great. checked in when he needed to and went about his business. Had the medium nachos with guacamole and beef. big portion of classic bar nachos. 4 drinks and a nacho came to 80ish bucks, and I left happy.
