Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.6 IBU: 70
The Gladstone India pale ale (IPA) glints a dark copper, aromas of tropical fruit can be found, but resinous pine is much more prominent. Lightly malted, strong bitterness from West Coast hops is the focus, complimented rather than diffused by light fruit flavours. What malt character remains is most apparent after swallowing, where the light sweetness works to hold the bitterness on the tongue.

Style: Belgian Blonde
ABV: 4.5 IBU: 30
An extremely pale golden ale, the Gladstone Belgian Single exudes fruity and highly spicy aromas. These flavours are apparent in the light, peppery body as well, though they remain understated to maximize the refreshing character of the Single. Complimentary pepper flavours from light hopping and a grainy texture from the malts create a very dry finish that almost vanishes from the tongue.

Style: Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
ABV: 5.3 IBU: 34
A pale orange glowing haze reminiscent of grapefruit juice with a persistent white head. Aromas of tropical and stone fruits remain with a background of hop character; this version is a touch sweeter than the last batch with less hop burn, but the silky and slightly sticky character remains. More focus on citrus and dry tropical fruits from the addition of Cascade hops, with a mild lemonade character. Mouthfeel is still thirst quenching, with less sugar stickiness and a bit of a sappier finish. Leaves the palette more quickly than the previous batch as well.

A bright, clear, golden Lager, the Gladstone Pilsner smells of crisp yeast and lightly spicy hops. Style: Porter - American
ABV: 5.5 IBU: 40
The black body of the Gladstone Porter is intimidating to some, irresistible to others. Strong aromas of dark chocolate waft from the creamy head, followed by flavours of coffee and malty sweetness. Mouth feel is surprisingly light, in the North American style, and dry toasted malt character is apparent on the finish.

Style: Red Ale - American Amber / Red
ABV: 6 IBU: 30
Dark red in color, aromas of caramel are immediately apparent. Floral and citrus hop character is apparent on the nose but toned down in the taste, doing little more than enhancing the malt character. The main focus of this beer style, the malts impart a light caramel flavor that stops before being too sweet and a nutty texture that fades into a dry finish. The creamy mouthfeel does not linger, making the Gladstone Red Ale refreshing despite its lack of bitterness.

The Gladstone Kolsch shines a clear golden straw colour with a fairly persistent clean white head. Light fruit aromas mingle with grain and spice that carry through nicely on the first sip. The Gladstone Marzen is a clear dark copper with a light off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. A lightly sweet aroma is accompanied by scents of freshly baked nut bread and grain that carry through on the first sip. a dry hop finish takes over to leave the pallet clean and refreshed. While the Marzen is full bodied due to its generous malt profile, a reasonable level of carbonation and light hopping make it feel lighter and it keep it from being overwhelming on hot days.

Style: Stout - Irish Dry
ABV: 4.5 IBU: 30
- The Gladstone Dry Irish Stout boasts a deeply opaque black body complimented by a persistently dense, creamy mocha head. The dense head created by the Nitrogen mutes some of the aroma, but if you try you can smell rich roasted coffee, dark bakers chocolate, and a hint of sweet cocoa. These flavours are very obvious from the first sip, and pair wonderfully with the creamy Nitrogen bubbles that stream across the tongue and settle pleasantly in the belly. Mouthfeel is silky smooth and the beer feels much lighter on the tongue than the color and class would suggest.

The Gladstone Evil Spirit is a cloudy, though highly, polished gold, and smells strongly of fruit and spice. Pepper flavor dominates, amplified by hop spice, resulting in a very dry and light mouth feel thatdeftly hides the potently high alcohol level. Although light and refreshing, the Golden Strong is a mischievous 8.5%, so consume in moderation.

Light passes easily through the copper body of the Gladstone Straight 8. Shedding the weight of malts in favour of more hop power, aromas of tropical fruits and berries are very apparent. Surprisingly sweet, the nature of the southern hemisphere hops is very easy to discern, with complimentary bittering from northern hemisphere cousins. The sweetness passes over the tongue quickly, leaving a dry, lightly bitter finish.

A hazy pale ale with orange glowing haze reminiscent of grapefruit juice with a persistent white head. Aromas of tropical and stone fruits remain with a background of hop character. This beer is hazy due to high protein malts and suspended yeast and hop particles.

The light character of the Berliner is easy see from the bright straw color, with subtle cloudiness that hints at the dairy content. Sour flavor leads and fades into citrus, carbonation keeps either from lingering on the tongue. Low ABV and light body makes the beer quite sessionable.

As other posts mentioned the patio is amazing. Self serve style gives a very relaxed atmosphere, great for connecting and hanging with friends. Great beers, the food is good. The brisket is smoked here in their smoker out back (envious) and you can taste the quality. We would go without the mayo and pickles though. The brisket and sauce speak volumes by themselves!!! I had the chicken Caesar wrap with garlic Parmesan fries. Generous in size, the fries are wonderful . The Caesar was good the chicken was good, but a bit of a clash in flavours when together. Could have been the radishes inside . Definitely give it a try. The staff were attentive and offered to make it right.

Perfect place to grab some drinks and food. We drove up from Victoria and were so impressed with everything and everyone here. We met Alejandra and immediately felt like this is the place to be! Don't miss out on this spot. Great brews and even better people!

Visitors to the island, we took a beautiful day trip which included Goats on the Roof and Cathedral Grove, great stops along the way. The BEST part of our day was Gladstone Brewery, where we were greeted by the warm and exuberant owner, Alexandra, who clearly knew many of her patrons. She offered up her husband, Daniel, to give us a tour which demonstrated how much passion and knowledge he had about his product. Speaking of their product - we had flights served on license plates and were able to purchase our faves to take home (mine were Hazy and Glad Light, my husband the Cream Ale and Pilsner, but flights will help you choose for yourself). We were there at 3:30 and the space was almost full with everyone from young children (and cute pups!) to seniors. We decided to stay for dinner, where I had the tacos- why choose? You can get one of each! My husband chose the burger, which he loved. Delicious and fresh, I found my tacos authentic, yet innovative - one is veggie! It was clear a great deal of thought and care went into everything, but the overall atmosphere for us was come as you are, and enjoy!
