You're cruisin' down the Ave. with this go-to ale. A favourite style of our head brewer who values flavour balance as much as hop character. Named in tribute to all of the good folks who helped make the Upstreet dream a reality.

Style: Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian
ABV: 4.5 IBU: 25
Our take on a Bohemian classic. Balanced and crisp, this local lager might be your new favourite brew. The Pilsner style comes from Pilsen, Czech Republic, the original city in which it was brewed. Following tradition we wanted to name our Upstreet Pilsner after its birthplace. In the 18th century, our brewery site was in "the Commons" - the outskirts of Charlottetown proper. Nowadays, you might say we're in the heart of the city, but we really liked the ring of “Commons”.

ABV: 6.5 IBU: 30
This recipe originated with home brewer Ryan Palmer (aka Mr. Gourd Halloween head) 2 years ago, became something of legend last Fall when Hogie and Ryan brewed the next version. You’ll find the malt bill amped up compared to other versions of this seasonal style to give the beer a full base, and to hold up to the several varieties of spices and elixirs which paint a palatable portrait of liquid pumpkin pie. We’re no longer brewing on our back decks but got just as much joy out of designing this recipe for our scale, taking a few risks, and diving right into the longest brew-day ever at Upstreet.

A Vermont-style IPA that's rich and vibrant with notes of lime and pineapple. The brightness of Ella, Sticklebract and Southern Cross hops is well balanced with a smooth body to create a super refreshing beer that you’ll want to sip to last longer. A re-tinkered tribute to our first Island Hopspitality, the hopping for this brew was so complicated we had to create a spreadsheet just to keep track of it all - and it was so worth it.

Style: Porter - English
ABV: 5.25 IBU: 0
With aromas of chocolate espresso torte and woody, minty hops, this English porter has a smooth and lightly creamy body finishing a bit bitter, just like its namesake, William Windsor – the cashmere goat who served as Lance Corporal in an infantry battalion of the British Army. Briefly demoted for “unacceptable behaviour, lack of decorum, and disobeying a direct order” for headbutting a drummer at the Queen’s 80th birthday, a Canadian animal rights group protested to the British Army that he was merely “acting a goat” and William was reinstated. He retired from his illustrious 8-year career in 2009, returning to Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire, England.

Great brewery in Charlottetown! I walked here from the cruise ship port- I would take a rideshare next time as the walk wasn't particularly scenic. The Neon Friday 4.02 was, by far, my favorite beer. The day I visited, they had 10 beers on tap plus three canned cocktails and one seltzer. They offer flights of four. The place was very clean, and the beertenders were very friendly. Glad I made the trek to Upstreet!

Near the University in Charlottetown, this is a favourite place of ours to visit and again today it did not disappoint. The beer is excellent and it is nice to see their Libra line of de-alcoholized craft beers covering their full line of beer. And the pizza was great with tasty crusts and just enough sauce and garnishes.

Visited on August 3, 2024, in the evening. About halfway between the Trans Canada Highway and downtown Charlottetown, just a few blocks east of University Ave. Simple looking establishment, nice and quiet (with out kids) patio, spacious tap room, good easy access toilettes. Simple looking establishment, nice and quiet (with out kids) patio, spacious tap room, good easy access toilettes. The beers were nice but not mind blowing. I had one of their pizzas, very delicious. Very friendly staff, willing to do the little things like unplugging a video game not in use because to sound will annoy everyone (unless you want to play). A nice end to my last day in my PEI vacation!

A great taproom overall with a good selection of beers, guest taps and seltzers. There's a food menu to make it a full meal. We shared a pizza for a light fare, but this is not a Neapolitan pizza as it was too thick and saucy to be one. Just leave it at thin crust pizza The servers were attentive and on it. The beer itself didn't have much to it nor was it memorable.
