ABV: 5.5 IBU: 30
This extra special bitter has a malty caramel flavour with low carbonation for a slightly sweet finish. It is the perfect ale for cooler weather. The legend goes that one day, a bold little chipmunk made its way into the brewery in search of grain for winter. The brewmaster, paddle in hand, chased the frisky guy out. Impressed with his boldness, he decided to name this beer in his honour.

Formerly New Ontario now spreading their wings to increase market penetration under the Wildwoods name. Not sure if brewmasters have changed since my review of three years ago, but the various brews' body and flavour seems to have taken a slight hit but still have a variety to please all palates. Introduction of an on-site food is a huge plus to more than wet the whistle and a welcome addition to N Bay's brew scene.

Awesome place to have some beer and pizza! We had the tree topper and a coffee infused beer and they were great! We also had the bacon dill pizza. This pizza was seriously the BEST pizza we've ever had!! The ambiance is really nice here. It's kind of a pub feel with a nightclub feel too! It is pet friendly too! So it was nice to enjoy our beer and pizza inside the restaurant instead of in our vehicle. It is a pretty big restaurant with lots of seating inside and out. If you're in North Bay, please be sure to stop in! You won't be disappointed!!

Nice brewery with a warm feel. I went on a school day, so there was not much going on. They do have live music on the weekends. The bartender she was really nice and even called me a taxi. I liked the gold beer on the flight the best.

New Ontario is fast becoming the most talked about spot in North Bay. They have unleashed a barrage of amazing live music from local talented artists to compliment their wildly popular and sold-out trivia nights. Most importantly now, the beer: my favourite is Big Juicy, but their most popular beer is the blonde ale. If you aren't sure, try their beer flight to figure out what your flavour range is. I wouldn't describe this as a family friendly location and their food truck is packing up for the season soon. They sometimes order in pizza, so call in advance for food options. They have a spacious patio to soak up the sun and indoor seating as well. The staff here are very experienced in all levels of the hospitality and event planning industry. Follow their instagram for all the latest.

Ok, you all know I don't hand out one stars very often but this place deserves it. I will NEVER be back!!!! I have been going to the Algonquin location for 33 years. Love it there, so I thought I'd give this new location a go. Well, when my friend and I walked in we were greeted by a rude and abrupt waitress/hostess. The place looks like an empty dungeon, no character or ambience. We sat down, got our drinks and placed our order with the not so helpful waitress. Then the next thing we knew someone lit up a joint in the restaurant and was smoking it. I kid you not!!!! I'm highly allergic to it and had to get out fast. I was starting to gag as I felt my throat swelling. The scent was so strong!!! My friend told the waitress why we were leaving and she replied with "oh it was probably on someone's clothing". No one came in after we did. I was facing the door!! I DO NOT recommend this place!!!!!
