This dark English Mild is low in alcohol, letting the malt take centre stage. Six different types of barley malt give this ale a complexity of roasted nuts, chocolate and biscuits. Look into the glass and see the colours synonymous with the changing season. This Mild is a perfect pint of autumn comfort.

My review is based solely on the beer I was lucky enough to be gifted by my family. Got a early xmas present that contained a sample of multiple offerings from Sober island. As a beer lover that likes finding hidden gems, I was pleasantly blown away by how solid each of the various flavors were. Especially the "Beth's Black" oyster stout and "Beach Stone" English ale. If opportunity presents itself, I'll definitely be checking this place out.

Very good beer at Sober Island. I had the Wave Breaker IPA. Really well done. We also had the Oyster Stout which again, was really well done. It's out of the way from HRM but well worth stopping in!

Found them through Terego. Very warm welcome and excellent beers that we drank with our dog on our side. Glad we found this place. We are traveling so we might not be back for a good while but took a few cans to go. :)

A truly phenomenal gem on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. Steve and Nancy were warm and welcoming and the beer and cider are lights out. Huge respect to Tim and his craft. This is a MUST visit to anyone lucky enough to find themselves in Sheet Harbour.
