Waiting over an hour and a half for a meal wasn't exactly on the menu, but that's what I got. Watching people who arrived long after me being served first felt like I'd accidentally signed up for a social experiment. The highlight of my evening? A single bacon-wrapped oyster that took an impressive 90 minutes to arrive (spent more time cooking than on my plate). I ended up canceling the rest of my order and grabbing McDonald's insteadat least there, the only delay is deciding between a Big Mac or nuggets. Gahan House has potential, but the service needs to catch up with the kitchen!

We ordered a fish and chips, a seafood chowder and a penne pasta. The chowder was not the thick type. A lot of seafood and potatoes in the soup. The pasta was tasty because of the chorizo. However it was a bit oily. The fish and the substituted vegetables were pretty good. Service was not bad but our server didn't come to check on us. Ambiance was excellent and they had live music and a singer.

One word, "Perfection".
Hubby and I went with our children. It was such an amazing family dining experience. The portions were quite sizable and filling , even the children's meals. We had the penne, fish and chips, burger and fries, chicken fingers and fries. 5 stars all round!

We arrived later in the evening as not many restaurants were open but to our surprise we enjoyed our meal! The baked oysters, especially the chorizo topped ones were awesome. Our fish and chips and fish taco were also great. Our waiter was friendly and made the experience enjoyable.

Gahan House has a few locations across the Maritimes and this was my first time going to any. They have a vegan menu which alone makes me impressed. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and they have a nice large patio as well. Special shoutout for their bathroom stalls!
I ordered the sweet potato tostadas and had the spinach salad on the side. The food was fair but I didn't find it was super flavourful but I give them props for creativity. I also had the vegan carrot cake for dessert and that was delicious! I really loved the candied walnuts on that and in the spinach salad and the blueberry vinaigrette on the salad was lovely.
Our waiter was really nice and answered the couple questions I had easily.
