I have always appreciated Cavok Brewery for their excellent beers and enjoyable atmosphere. We recently visited because of a pop-up collaboration with La Chiquita, which promised a great evening. Initially, everything was perfect. We enjoyed our tacos and drinks, and brought along a family member who recently moved here from a Latin country. She was excited to visit the brewery, having previously enjoyed their beer at Classic Burger. An hour into our visit, our friend decided to purchase a can of beer, which she opened on the spot, unaware of any policy against it. Shortly thereafter, a bartender approached us with a very rude demeanor, holding the can and stating that the cans were for takeaway only due to the associated costs. We understand the necessity of such policies, but there were no signs indicating this and the bartender at the moment of giving to her didn't say absolutely nothing, so it was not mentioned at the time of purchase. Our friend, whose English is limited, felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, and the bartender's aggressive handling of the situation, including how he was holding the can and while explaining the policy, only made things worse. As someone who works in customer service, I recognize the importance of enforcing rules, but the bartender's approach was unnecessarily harsh. The experience left us all feeling unwelcome. I suggest better training for staff on customer interaction to prevent similar incidents. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Cavok Brewery based on this experience.

Today we visited an old bar in Dieppe called Cavok, and we left very disappointed by the poor service of the bartender named Guillaume, super racist and unfriendly attitude (he doesn't know the words please or excuse me) what happened: I was enjoying live music from some friends in said place, and suddenly this man named Guillaume approached me and forbade me to do happy things or express myself effusively in front of the music, and this man named Guillaume indicated that it couldn't be like that, that the concert was private and that I had no right to make noise and that people were upset with me for being so expressive and happy. Then I asked this bartender who said that and he told me a group of people on the second floor, then I discreetly asked the musicians and some people who I bothered and nobody said anything, they all agreed with me that there was no problem, (I even stayed a couple more hours and saw that other people were making more noise and yelling etc and Mr. Guillaume didn't say anything to them) so the conclusion was racism towards me, unfortunately this gentleman treated me badly and without respect and his fellow bartender and waitress before that was cordial. And then the treatment was totally contemptuous and disdainful towards me. For now I do not recommend going to this bar when this gentleman at the bar Guillaume is a young man without education or ethics, and I will not return to that place because this gentleman does not respect people from other countries. Do not go because you will be humiliated by this Mr. Guillaume.

Solid selection of their own beers on tap with a few rotating guest taps as well. Limited snack menu but outside food is welcome. Pretzels are prepared fresh, so expect a short wait. Would've been nice if it came with some sort of beer cheddar but the warm, buttery pretzel with mustard sufficed.

Great looking bar with a very nice selection of their own brews as well as local beers. They have a serve-yourself popcorn machine which I think is a wonderful touch. The brewery looks nice and clean at the back. You can buy a flight of four 3 or 4oz glasses and pick which beers you wish to sample. I had that, but I'm definitely coming back for more another time.
