So The Block has come to Backroads. I would have taken a picture of the food but I ate it too fast. I cannot begin to describe how amazing their sandwiches are except to say stop right here. Do not pass go. You will not find anything better. Omg! They don't mess around.

Great, downtown, casual, friendly bar with excellent beers. Such a joy to go to a pub which doesn't have big TV screens all round the room and that has bar rather than table service. This is the kind of pub that is just as comfortable to go for a pint on your own as it is with friends. Please don't change! Will be back any time I am in Nelson. Cheers!

Tasty beers and really friendly staff! We had a slow experience at a restaurant across the street so we ducked in the backroads to have a beer and regroup to decide where we were going to get food. Our server was super friendly and helpful suggesting nearby restaurants. One suggestion was beauties, a nearby pizza place that delivers to the brewery. Ended up having a perfect lunch on their patio while my 10yr old could watch the chainsaw juggler.

Cozy little microbrewery in the heart of Nelson! Rustic decor, large sidewalk patio, and friendly service make this an enjoyable place to try a flight of various small batch brews. Don't forget to purchase a 1L or 2L growler of your favorite from Backroads Brewing Co.!
