Golden orange in colour, with aromas of tart soft apple, bakery cinnamon, and warm brown sugar, Mama's Apple Pie is the perfect fall ale. The gentle notes of the wheat and pilsner malts combine with the fruity characteristics of Saphir and Huell Melon hops, creating a softly sweet and comforting ale reminiscent of the apple pie that Mama used to make.

Popped in here after an errand, my husband had been and loved it and wanted to share. We were offered the covered patio but at -20 outside we declined. We were sat directly under the path of the air conditioner, which was running strong even at -20, so my who experience was tempered by not being able to take my coat off inside. The drinks were AMAZING. I would return for the Coconut Margarita alone. My husband was introduced to nitro beer, the staff was great at explaining the process and differences (he thought it was just for coffee). The food is where they lost me. It wasn't bad, but it didn't meet the expectations. We started with burnt ends, which seemed like they just took meat chunks and sauced them. Not burnt brisket ends. The kids meal was an obnoxiously large size. The fish tacos were filled with an overpowering cheese. Creamy and tangy but so much it coated your mouth and blocked out the rest. The service was a tiny bit slow, and by the time we were done seemed far more focused on bussing empty tables than offering dessert, more drinks, or a cheque. I'd still try to come back in summer for drinks, but wouldn't come for a meal.

Found this place after a day of hiking, during the peak of summer. We had a dog with us and when we looked them up we were happy to find they are dog friendly. We let them know we had a dog, they showed us the entrance to the patio. At first glance, the patio was beautiful. Upon sittings at our table, we found it had spilt drinks and left over food which attracted many wasps. At the same time, there was another table that had children running around and throwing food on the patio, which attracted more wasps. When we brought this up to the staff, they tried to get us a table but it took 20 minutes to do so. This also slowed down how fast we got our food. It's a beautiful location, and the food and drink were wonderful and good value - just wish it was less wasp infested and more adult oriented (for a brewery).

Great location, friendly staff and perfect atmosphere. Quite possibly the best nachos we've ever had. The dill pickles were pure evil genius.

We had a great meal here overall. The brisket is excellent. My mother in law had the club sandwich and said it was delicious. Fish tacos are so-so. Skip them if you're a fish taco lover. I deducted a star because the oil used to fry the foods must've been older. My fish smelled bad but tasted good. We're big gravy lovers and this gravy gets a 3/10. Cocktails are excellent and there's hits on the menu as well!

Came in to wait for my Wife's hair appointment and found an absolute Gem. Matt, the Bartender, made the visit an exceptionally memorable experience. While the venue itself was busy and hectic Matt handled himself well and touched on every customer as if he had time to spare. The food itself, while in the middle of a rush situation was cooked and plated beautifully. Overall Half Hitch is a place to enjoy a good pint at a reasonable price with a staff group that truly cares. Above an beyond, stellar conduct. Cheers.
