Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 40
An aroma-forward Pale Ale, hopped with Citra and Mosaic varietals. It's our take on the classic North American Pale Ale, with a hoppy bouquet and a long, harmonious finish: progressive, sessionable, and full of flavour.

To understand the space this beer occupies in the brewing landscape, all you have to do is walk its boundaries. Begin at the corner that values flavour above all else. Continue to the unmistakable aromas of a great IPA. Keep going until you sense the balance of a pale ale. Then arrive back where you started, and do another lap.

It's a mild ale brewed with Earl Grey tea from Two Hills Tea and conditioned on fresh lemon. Featuring aromas of lilac, bergamot and lemon zest, swinging’ in at a nice 5.6%. This beer drinks like unsweetened ice tea. Seriously, we are talkin’ about those faded-jeans-ice-tea-on-the-porch kinda flavours that country radio seems to think is an unbeatable experience.

Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse
ABV: 6.4 IBU: 0
Tart with a biscuit/bread note on the finish. The ginger greets you right up front but is subtle and complimentary to the sour notes. Not overly aggressive in its pallet. This beer is a perfect summer drink. Would pair well with cucumber, peaches, salads, and hot summer nights. Very mild aroma. Notes of lemon peel, coriander, orange, toast, ginger, lemongrass, and pineapple.

Better known for its role as filler text in documents, this Lorem Ipsum was made using light and dark malts as well as roasted barley to give it depth of colour. Despite its darker character, it surprises with its light and refreshing qualities, thanks to the Citra hops. These American-variety hops infuse the amber ale with captivating notes of citrus, fruit, and pine, balancing the sweetness of the malt.

To celebrate the culmination of an arduous brewers exam season (it's a real thing) our brewers refocused their tunnel vision out of textbooks and onto the recipe sheet. Introducing Book Learnin' Aussie NEIPA. The brewing team spent time crunching numbers on water profile and the ideal dry hop temperatures to affect the terpenes, mercaptans, and thiols (and some other words that went right over the head of this humble newsletter copywriter). It is aggressively hopped with Ella, Enigma, Galaxy, and Vic Secret - all varieties from Oz. The aromas of stone fruit and melon just pop right out at you. Book Learnin' is a celebration of higher education in action.

We invited our friends at Sea Change down to brew a collab that commemorates our feelings about Valentines; a cold black IPA cut from the same cloth as our hearts. This Black IPA is citrus and pine forward, black in colour but not too roasted. It is all about balance and collaboration with a ridiculous aroma thanks to a dry hop done at a cold temperature.

Sponsored Content Flanders Red is our second Foudre-aged beer release this year. Made in collaboration with Red Shed Malting, this is the third iteration to come out of this particular vessel after Etceteras and Bad Boy Club. Again, fermented out Solera style and brewed exclusively with Red Shed's stellar malt combo of Newdale, Rocky Mountain, Amber, and Chocolate malts. Sponsored Content was left for over a year in wood, and it allowed the bacteria and Saison yeast to really do their thing. Featuring a fruit medley of cherry, orange, pear, and plum, a touch of chocolate, some Saison spice. It drinks sour with a touch of acetic acid and finishes dry and oaky.

Before the new semester starts, I went to check out a craft beer spot with some friends. Annex's collaboration with Phil & Sebastian on a coffee stout totally won me overthe coffee aroma was rich, and the aftertaste lingered beautifully! The space was super spacious, and the bartender there was really friendly. Had some great drinks, good conversations, and now I'm in a good mindset to take on the second semester!

Went on a Thursday evening. Had a really nice bitter and good cheeseburger. A bit noisy for my taste. Mixed crowd of various ages.

Went here for a weekend lunch with a small group. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. When you go in, you'll get table service for your beverages and go up to the food window to order and pay for your meal separately. Burgers and fries are the main staple of the food menu. There are lots of different kinds of beers to try, too. This place wasn't super busy on a Saturday, but there were still a good number of people there. One thing to note is that seating is mostly at long tables with benches.

One of our favourite draft beer place . The menu include regular and seasonal flavours. They offer tasting if you are not sure about which one will go home with you. If you dine in, tasting menu is available, allowing you have 4 choices from their existing menu. Beside some safe choices like Golden and Pale Ale, there are some random taste like coffee stout and cranberry sour turns out to be surprisingly good! I suggest finish all draft beer ASAP, they taste even better with fresh baked pizza, cheese sticks and salami platters This place is a good find after Anchor's beer quality fall off the cliff couple years ago. Local breweries always bring more aspects than a large manufacturer.
