Amazing Beer My favourite brewery. Pizza now available every day. For the non-beer drinker they now have cider and other choices. Edit 23/02/2024: Check their event page on their website. Events are happening often. I played darts there last night and got #4th place. Beat me next time so I drop to 5th

Came here September 1st. The beer was amazing and the service staff were amazing. I will say though the saxophone player (Cooper Rodek) was a bit arrogant and disrespectful considering I overheard him talking with his friends while they were cleaning up the stage area that someone had left $5 for him in his tip jar (it was a pay what you can situation) and making jokes about it with his friends saying how it was disrespectful. I'm not sure who this kid thinks he is but that's not a great attitude to have.

One of my favourite local spots. The folks that run this place are incredible people who care deeply about the community. Their beers are great and they have a selection of non-beer and non alcoholic options. They're also dog-friendly, which is a win in my books!

This place is my favorite. The perfect mix of a quality craft brewery with constantly rotating new taps, and a quirky bar. There are a lot of us that are local regulars who walk in for a pint or two. They're dog friendly, kid friendly, and community friendly which really does make TWB my favorite in KW.

  • Wobbly Wheel

    Style: IPA - American

    ABV: 6.5    IBU: 0

This brew honours the Industrial Workers of the World Union - the Wobblies - founded in 1905 and fighting for worker rights ever since. As a worker-owned co-op, we share their spirit of unity and fairness. Our flagship IPA celebrates beer and its creators — cheers to everyone who keeps the beer flowing! This American IPA offers fruity stone fruit and melon aromas with a hint of caramel sweetness. It pours clear, copper-red with a frothy head. The flavour features bold hops, balanced by a touch of sweetness and a smooth, clean finish, making each sip refreshing and enjoyable.

  • Maggie's Farm

    Style: Pale Ale - American

    ABV: 5.6    IBU: 0

Maggie’s Farm is a tribute to resilience and rebellion, inspired by Bob Dylan's song about working for a tough boss, something we can all relate to. (That’s why we started a co-op - to be our own tough bosses!) Fun fact: Rage Against the Machine does a great cover of this song - so you can choose the version that resonates with you. This classic American Pale Ale has been a core part of our lineup since day one, with vibrant aromas and hoppy flavours of bright citrus and grapefruit notes, along with a subtle grainy sweetness. Its medium-bodied mouthfeel provides a satisfying, well-rounded texture that complements the beer's bold character. A mild pithy bitterness at the finish adds a layer of complexity and edge. It’s the perfect beer at the end of a long day’s work.

  • Hydrocut Session IPA

    Style: IPA - Session

    ABV: 4.5    IBU: 32

This easy drinking IPA is brewed in partnership the Waterloo Cycling Club’s Trails Committee. A portion of the sales of this beer goes to maintain and grow this wonderful system of mountain bike trails. Subtle notes of pine and fruit from the Simcoe and El Dorado hops pay homage to the diversity of trees in the forest that the trails wind through and the light refreshing body and low alcohol make it the perfect post-ride beer.

  • Birds & Bees

Style: Blonde / Golden Ale - Other

    ABV: 4.5    IBU: 0

Let’s talk about the Birds and the Bees... A local chef and a small brewery met, partnered up, and this blonde ale was the result! Just one example of how we love cross-pollinating creativity and fun with community partners to spread cheer and great beer - there’s enough love to go around. This Blonde Ale is an approachable, easy-drinking beer. It has a clean, slightly malty aroma with hints of grain and grass. Its pale straw colour and white head reflect its refreshing taste. Expect grainy, bready flavors with a hint of hops and a crisp finish, perfect for any occasion.

  • Ale-X

Style: Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB)

    ABV: 5.5    IBU: 0

Long before TWB had an actual brick & mortar location, when it was still a bit of hope and a dream, one of the founding worker-owners, Alex, asked for a new beer for her birthday. Being a bit of a forest nut, she wanted a beer with trees in it - and that's how our Ale-X Juniper Rye ESB came to be! To be fair, she expected a strong IPA with heavy pine notes - but the brewer took it in a totally different direction. That’s the lesson from this ale: Sometimes a little collaborative creativity lands us something better than any one of us could come up with on our own! A customer favourite from day one, Ale-X is a classic English-style ale. It's very approachable but unique, with a nice bread spice from the rye malt that balances the Juniper flavours. It’s a crisp, clear ale that pours a beautiful amber hue - perfect to share with a friend!

  • Order of the Sleeping Car

    Style: Porter - English

    ABV: 5.5    IBU: 0

Porters are known as the beer of the worker, providing a bit of delicious sustenance to the porters who would enjoy some at the end of a long workday to relax. Named after the first black railway union on the continent, our Order of the Sleeping Car Porter celebrates these civil rights and labour leaders. TWB’s Porter was featured on our tap list on opening day - with its full malty body, hints of coffee, chocolate, and subtle sweetness, Order of the Sleeping Car Porter has everything you need to unwind after a long day’s work.

  • American Brown

    Style: Brown Ale - American

    ABV: 5.5    IBU: 0

Crafted with care at TWB, this ale boasts a rich chocolatey hue with a smooth balance of malt and hops. Our American Brown Ale is a nod to tradition with a modern twist - it’s the perfect choice for beer lovers seeking a robust yet easy-drinking ale. Hints of caramel and roasted nuttiness provide a warm, malty backbone, while a subtle hop bitterness adds a refreshing edge at the finish, making this the ideal beer for those who love a touch of complexity in every sip. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening or celebrating with friends, this versatile ale complements everything from hearty meals to casual snacks. We were so busy enjoying the ale, we forgot to name the beer - and so American Brown Ale it remains. Sometimes simple is best!

  • Wit the Hell?

Style: Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche

    ABV: 5    IBU: 11

What kind of brewery would we be without a white beer? Sure we could have brewed a German hefeweizen and made up some elaborate story tying it to the German heritage of the city but what would be the sport in that? Instead we decided to brew this classic Belgian witbier with hints of spice and citrus.

  • Volkssommer

    Style: Historical Beer - Kottbusser

    ABV: 4.1    IBU: 0

We’re bringing this rare style of German ale to this most German part of Canada. The name means “the people’s summer” in German and is brewed with healthy doses of barley, wheat, oats, local honey, molasses, and German Hallertau Blanc hops. The result is a crisp, easy drinking beer with floral hints of ginger and lemongrass.

  • Bitter Harvest Wet Hop IPA

    Style: IPA - Other

    ABV: 6.1    IBU: 0

This wet hop IPA is only brewed once a year using local hops picked fresh from the bine at Tavistock Hop Co. - a great local and family-owned hop farm. It is brewed with fifty pounds of whole-cone fresh Centennial hops which are added late in the boil to bring out that seasonal, fresh aroma. Fun fact about the 2024 batch - our brewer also added dry hops from the same harvest. This beer is a slightly hazy, light golden colour. It has a fresh hop aroma and a dry and slightly bitter finish.

  • Better Late...

    Style: Pale Ale - American

    ABV: 5.3    IBU: 33

We wanted to see what happens if we developed a recipe that maximized the flavour of Mosaic and Citra hops. So we developed a hop schedule that consists of one late addition to the boil and one very, very early addition to the mash. The result is a clean crisp beer full of grapefruit and melon.

    Style: Pilsner - German

    ABV: 5.5    IBU: 0

Clean, crisp, and refreshingly balanced, this classic German-style Pilsner is crafted with Pilsner malt and delicately hopped with Perle and Hallertauer. With a touch of Canadian inspiration, it’s a harmonious blend of tradition and local flair. Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

  • Milky McMilkface

Style: Stout - Milk / Sweet

    ABV: 5.1    IBU: 21

Does this beer have milk in it? Not really. But it does have a healthy dose of the thing that makes milk sweet, namely lactose sugar. Unlike other sugars in beer lactose doesn’t ferment into alcohol and that’s what gives the beer a rich sweetness that compliments the subtle roasty coffee and chocolate flavours of the dark malts.
