An easy-drinking blonde ale that recalls Nova Scotia's dark and boisterous seafaring past, with a touch of roasted malt giving a hint of deep chocolate flavour. A combination of English and Continental hops that harks back to an age when the order of the day was 'sink, burn or take her a prize'.

Style: Shandy / Radler
ABV: 5 IBU: 6
A hugely refreshing mixture of a locally brewed American Wheat Beer and classic lemonade. The word radler has it's origins in Germany, where a mixture of beer and fruit juice was served to refresh thirsty bicyclists (radlers in German) on hot summer days. Known in England as a shandy, this drink has understandably been a summertime hit on both sides of the Channel.

Love this place! When you arrive for the first time you might confuse the tap room in the adjacent building with the wayfarers the taproom. Wayfarers tap room has the same entrance as the wayfarers brewery, as seen in the photos I took. Yup, I love this brewery! They have good quality beers! All of them! They have discontinued the British ale. It was my absolute favorite beer. Although I am sad to see it go, I know it is because not enough people bought it. Likely because IPAs and extreme IPAs have taken over from the brown, red, amber and ESBs. This is an industry wide trend. Hoppy beers have a dry finish. The styles I mentioned have a sweet finish. New England IPAs have a cloudy appearance and a finish that is much sweeter than other IPAs. Wayfarers has a few really nice beers in the New England IPAs style. The tap room has good pub food and is nice and cozy. It has a TV for watching sports games. We live in the Halifax area, unfortunately. If we lived close to wayfarers it would be our "go to place"! The staff member I talked to was very patient, knowledgeable and kind. I would like him to know, I will definitely be back every chance I get! Cheers!

A great spot for more than just a beer. We had a pizza there and enjoyed a couple drinks on the patio and watched the tide come in. For those who have never witnessed that I would suggest it for sure. Service was great and everyone was super friendly.

Had the chicken flatbread, which was super fresh and tasty, as was the ravioli! The IPA beer, and cider was also cold and refreshing! Great service to match the great food. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the valley.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! I didn't know about it until I seen they were participating in burger wars. The freshness of the food felt like it was all local and tasted wonderful. I can wait to come back later in the summer and experience there outside seating.

It was our first time and really enjoyed ourselves; beer and the tide coming in was great, restaurant was closed due to holiday Monday but we'll be back again to try the food.
