This hazy beer has a dark-blue colour that shines light purple when struck by sunlight. It presents with a tart fruit aroma paired with flavours of lime, lychee and a slight earthiness. We kettle-soured this brew like our other sour beers but reduced its souring time to capture just a slight tart character, as opposed to a mouth-puckering sourness. We then double dry-hopped the beer with Citra, Azacca, Cascade and Centennial hops for some fruity flavour and topped it all off with butterfly pea flowers to give this brew its unique colour.

This beer pours a deep, dark black with a biscuit-tinted foam head. It announces itself initially with robust aromas of Ecuadorian cocoa nibs followed by a smooth waft of Columbian dark roast coffee beans. A luscious palate builds on the aromas with a touch of nutty and roasted flavours, followed by an everlasting subtle milky sweetness courtesy of a lactose addition in the brew. Rounding out this symphony is a full-bodied, rich and velvety mouthfeel leaving you with a decadent and satisfying finish.

This English Pale presents very nicely with crystal clarity and a light-copper colour. Pleasant notes of citrus, pine and fruitiness meld with a slight biscuity aroma to create a uniquely enjoyable fragrance. The flavour of this beer navigates a fine balance and complexity between malt and hop characteristics, starting with a bready, biscuity, fruity flavour that gradually fades into a piney finish with a modest, crisp bitterness.

This tangy treat has a bright peachy-orange colour and nice, deep haziness. It beholds a strong guava aroma and has the flavour to match. Lesser flavours of lemon-lime dance on the tongue, slowly developing into subtle flavours of tropical fruit finishing with a perky sour tang to round it all off.

This dark treat is exquisitely robust and indulgently rich. The backbone of this brew is anchored with a combination of eight unique malts which create a formidably complex, well-layered base with an extensive array of malt characteristics. We then cold-aged and matured this brew on Dominican cacao nibs, Madagascar vanilla beans, black sweet cherry and French Oak chips. The finished beer is a truly delicious brew with many mingling layers combining to exhibit a magnificently complex flavour to get lost in. The aroma is bursting with chocolate, cherry and roasted notes with lesser scents of oak, vanilla and Sherry. A supremely thick body and pillowy mouthfeel lends well to the style and a mellowed boozy essence finishes this beer of right. Take care with this heavy hitter or it may just have you revealing your dark secrets.

Very comfortable for an hour with a beer that was served in the proper glass. I enjoyed a Pilsner, sitting at a table in a corner with my laptop until the band had finished bringing in their equipment and setting up. I know people love live music and I think that's great. I don't so when my glass was empty, I returned it and headed onwards. Upper Thames is a lovely spot in a commercial office park with plenty of parking, a nice space with lots of tables and a great selection of beers. If live music and great beer is your vibe, you'll really enjoy Upper Thames.

I have been looking forward to a Lazy Fox Red from the Upper James Brewery all day, I went to one brewery and they just called the last call 15 minutes before I got there. So I had to find another brewery and ordered it, and yes I was so looking forward to trying it, as it came highly recommended by my beer-loving brothers. My mouth was actually salivating, just like Pavlov's dog, but as with many things in this life disappointment raises its timeless head. They were out of it! So ... So I smiled and ordered a lagar. I hope my burger is good! I'm very hungry! Update... But don't be forlorn for me ... Argentina as the song says... the lager the young lady brought me was very good, not a Lazy Fox mind you, but very good none-the-less. And the burger and fries were amazing! I ate every bit. Many thanks Upper Thames Brewery!

I just had the lazy fox amber ale and it was really good. Good enough to come and leave a review. I'd probably visit one day when I go to Woodstock. After reading the reviews I realized I have has take out from the Brickhouse and it was awesome. If you're reading this you should just go here!

Lots of variety of beer to try here, they offer beer flights, many beer choices from blonde ale, lager, to Indian pale ale to white stout. The friendly staff suggested us to try the White Stout, it was tasty. To some may think it's too sweet but I dig it, I had brown, black or other types of stout before, but this is my 1st time trying a white stout, it has a caramel, honey sweetness to it. Big spacious place for people to sit inside, a long table, a sofa section with a TV and the counter near the server and then high tables with high stools throughout the space and people are maintaining physical distancing. You can buy merch and cans of beer home. Highly recommend this place. In the summer, they have a patio.
