I came in for dinner with my family on Monday night on Family day. The place was almost empty. The service was very good and friendly. The food was good with appropriate portions. I will evaluate the service again when there are more customers at the place. For now I am satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere.

Came here the other day for lunch with a friend on a Saturday. I wanted to sit on the patio, but she noticed some spiderwebs above on the umbrellas and trees, etc, and she's not a patio kind of girl, so she said she wanted to sit inside. It was a nice day so everyone was outside, because of that the inside was empty besides us. The patio area seemed like a nice atmosphere, though. Inside was nice, too. I decided on this place because I saw it posted a while ago for their buckets of mussels, so I've been wanting to try it for a while. Sure enough, I was not disappointed. For $28, you get this massive bucket of mussels and a side or $24 without a side. I ordered the Marinara Mussels. It was definitely worth the price, and it did not disappoint. I'll most likely be back and highly recommend this place to try

Yesterday, on a cold January afternoon, a small group of co-workers decided to have a belated Christmas lunch at Pepperwood. The server was fantastic: she was helpful, thoughtful with her recommendations, alert and attentive. We could not have asked for better. The food was excellent. The PEI White Wine Mussel Pot in particular was beautifully fresh, perfectly prepared, with a flavourful, aromatic broth that could transport you to Paris, Nice, or Maritime Canada, as if on a summer's afternoon. The shellfish were so generous that when we could not finish them we were offered an easy takeout for the extras and they made a fantastic brunch accompaniment the next day! The wonderful white wine garlic broth with finely diced tomatoes, sauted onions, and more made the encore helping a second winter treat. Pepperwood made it easy, and tasty, to ignore the inauguration day in the US. A superb bistro with a fine kitchen and excellent service. When in Burlington, be sure to stop by!

So we went to this place on a nice day. Patio was nice but had to wait like a lot and no one was there to serve us. Finally had to ask the attendant to find some waiter to attend to us , generally found the staff rude but the food I will say was fine. Hope they improve their service as that is just spoiling the whole experience of the place. Might not visit this till maybe this improves.

We have been a number of times over the last 10 years. Enjoyed a dinner out, the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and the music was not too loud. Would have liked the lights to be a bit dimmer. The food portions were large! The cheese dip was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and a very large portion of fries. The braised beef was amazing and the beef was so tender. We enjoyed the bread pudding and a latte for dessert. The patio in the summer is perfect with beautiful views of the lake.
