We hit this classic IPA base with a heaping dose of beautiful El Dorado dry hops. A balanced bitterness compliments the malty backbone and the tropical, candy-like notes of the hops are allowed to shine on through.

My dad and I each tried a flight of beers. Beers are better than Refined Fool. Which they had a stout on tap and not just in a can. Friendly service, but food was subpar. Chicken tenders were good, but fries were meh. Dad had Octoberfest sausage and was disappointed with taste of bun and portion size.

Was ok. Arrived on an October Saturday about half hour after opening. Staff seemed kinda "chaotic" in who was greeting, who was seating customers, delivering menus, taking orders, who was pouring, who had which table....there was no one in retail area....they ran out of the three beers we had first asked for. Took about 30 min from walking in to be seated, orders taken and first beer in hand and another 20 for the food. Excellent brews. Fries were very good, nacho cheese (for hot soft pretzels) was unpleasant. It's over a four hour drive one way for me to visit this brewery so I hope my next visit is a bit better, as it has been in the past

"Where Robert Met Fletcher Pseudo Lager" - a name almost as intriguing as the brew itself. It's like a rendezvous in a glass! This lager deserves a standing ovation for its clever name alone. And the taste? Well, it's a pseudo-masterpiece that probably left my taste buds with an identity crisis, pondering, "Is it a Lager or is it something more?" Bravo to Black Gold Brewery for this bit of liquid artistry. Now, the charcuterie board. It's not just a board; it's a culinary adventure. The inclusion of chocolate from Guild Chocolates is a sweet surprise that makes you wonder why chocolate and meats aren't paired more often. And Stafford Brothers Meats? Their meats must have been chosen with such care that each bite feels like a symphony of flavors. It's like a safari for your taste buds right there in Petrolia.
