Billy Bishop is a Canadian Icon He carried with him at all times a timeless spirit of adventure that eventually took him into the clouds where he would go on to become the first ace pilot for this great nation. In honour of this man and every other patriot, we’ve created Billy Bishop Brown Ale. The flavor profile of this British-style pub ale is dominated by the toffee-like characteristic of the malts with additional notes of dark fruit and mild citrus that join to create a brilliant, refreshing complexity. The sweet aroma is countered by a surprisingly bright finish, giving you everything you demand from a brown ale, but without the usual heaviness. It’s sessionable... for melancholy afternoons and also any other time of day. It’s a bold, sophisticated brown ale dedicated to the Canadian Armed Forces. Cheers.

You will get a warm, roasted aroma from the nose of this porter with underlying notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Much like the nose, the taste features a toasted, black malt character that pairs so nicely with the finishing flavours of sweet chocolate and bitter coffee. We keep this beer lighter and with a smooth mouth feel this serves as a great introduction to dark beer, which we consider essential for the cold months ahead.

Spring is here, people, and the maple trees are flowing. Each season, we partner with a local sugar bush to craft a maple red ale. This year, we used a gorgeous amber syrup from our friends at Breedon's farm. The beer is rich with a roasted malt character and just a hint of maple sweetness. We keep the carbonation a little lower to let you focus on the complexity in the body, while the finish is clean with just enough hop character to cut through the sweetness. Avro Arrow pairs well with pancakes so enjoy it as a breakfast beer. Good morning!

Fortunately, we’ve located the Black Box in a barrel of rye whiskey so help is on the way. Wholesome rye malts and oak wood chips lend this beer a rich, roasted profile with a smoky bitterness totie in a smooth rye whiskey finish. Sip on and stay warm, passengers. This could be a while." To give this seasonal ale its distinct whiskey character, we brought in peat-smoked barley malts from Scotland that lend a smoky finish to this malt-forward creation. The combination between malt sweetness and peat smoke create a deliciously smooth finish that leaves nothing to be desired. Pair it with spicy food or a cold winter's day.

Barnstormer has a great feel inside blending classic planes and wonderful craft beer. I visited for lunch on a Monday and there were some people there inside and the service was good. My server was quick, attentive and friendly. There's also some outdoor seating, but it's not a huge area. I would've said outside but the weather wasn't very nice. Inside, there is lots of seating. It's got a great cozy feel and there are lots of airplane posters on the wall. There was a huge selection of beer from Barnstormer, but they had beer on tap from other craft breweries, which I think is great that they maintain relationships with other brewers. I thought the First Class Lager and Mirror Pass IPA were great choices. For food, I kept it simple and had a burger and fries. The burger was fresh and not dry and there were more fries than I expected. I found that a nice touch. I would certainly visit again if in the Barrie area.

From the moment we walked into Barn Stormers, we were greeted with the kind of warm hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere was matched only by the delightful array of dishes that graced our table. The pizza was a masterpiece of flavors, with a perfectly baked crust that was both crispy and chewy in all the right places. Moving on to the burger, it was nothing short of spectacular. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, it was complemented by a side of fries that were golden and crisp. The homemade hot sauce and gravy were revelations in their own right. The hot sauce had a kick that was bold yet not overpowering, allowing the natural flavors of the food to shine through. The gravy was rich and savory, a perfect pairing for both the fries and the burger. But what truly set Barn Stormers apart was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. They handled children with such care and grace, making sure that the little ones were just as satisfied with their meals and experience as the adults. In conclusion, Barn Stormers is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where families can come together to enjoy great food and create lasting memories. The amazing service, coupled with the delectable cuisine, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. **Five stars all the way!**

Yummy food, nice staff, shaded outdoor seating. The salad was good and the bacon fries were incredible, wish I got a pic. I got a mocktail which I enjoyed but cannot recall which one.

Between the beer, the service, or the food it's hard to pick what's best. From the outside it might not look like much but once inside the decor and the people make this place feel great. The food is always great and the pizzas are amazing. The patio in the summer is also a delight with great beers. Give it a try and and you won't be disappointed.

We stopped in for lunch. The wings were good and went well with a Barnstormer beer. They do have lots of varieties on tap to try. Wait staff were quick to respond and friendly.
