An intensly tropical and generously hopped IPA brewed in collaboration with the Ocean Tracking Network where 50 cents from every can goes to support local and global marine animal research & education. This year funds will go to support the conservation of the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale, that relies on the plankton-rich waters of the Maritimes, yet faces dire threats from ship-stikes, fishing entanglements and climate-driven changes in food sources and habitat. OTN's aquatic robots listen for whales to alert ships of their presence and help reduce strikes.

Generally, grooming machines smooth a trail, making it easier to ski than if left in its natural state -- and yet there are times when groomers create conditions that make skiing a wee bit, well, more challenging! Let's talk snow for a minute: In late-winter when the thaw-freeze cycles make the grooming process tricky, the machines can chew up the slope's surface spitting out what is affectionately known as... Death Cookies. Best you can do? Keep your edge, and keep moving forward. We'll see you at the bottom to celebrate! Intensely-hopped with Amarillo, Mosaic, and Citra

It's Blursday, a perfect day to find a sweet patch of green grass to plop down on, or a sandy beach to sink your toes into, and crack into this tropical fruit bonanza -- pillowy soft on the palate, bursting with mango, papaya and lychee. Born the golden child of two hop varietals, Simcoe & Nuggest, it encompasses complex and clean flavours of mango, citrus and pine. Heady, arousing aromas of ripe peaches, apricots and sticky marmalade follow. Extravagantly & exclusively hopped with Mosaic, this is our lavish ode!

Big Spruce tends towards being a new world hop forward brewery with lots of well crafted IPAs, including various sub styles like NEIPA. They also have choices for malt-heads like myself that want minimal hops, though not as many. My favs today were the Cereal Killer Stout and the Festbier. They also have aged stouts in bottles for sale - I grabbed one of each. Staff is friendly. Live music was great. Lots more beer choices to take away. Also note that they are very dog friendly. The food truck is not as good but certainly passable. I am not rating it here.

Fantastic beer! Love the outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the water. You can grab something to eat from the food truck. Make sure to grab a few beers to enjoy back at the cottage

Stayed overnight via Harvest Host. Didn't have an opportunity to sample the goods as we arrived after hours; however, we are thankful for the hospitality and the terrific views. If you are looking for brews and some excellent views, be sure to give Big Spruce Brewing a visit!

Third time visiting this beautiful and perfectly positioned stop to/from Cape Breton. They have done a great job decorating the facility and grounds with both indoor and outdoor, daytime and night time fire pit areas. Lots of great beer choices and looks like good food too. Nice that they have a large property and welcome RVs easily too, but if going east, the first turn going up to the property is sharp..
