WHERE IS FANCY BRED, IN THE HEART OR IN THE HEAD? – MR. WILLY WONKA ? ?? Karat’s uber-talented chocolatier Julian Helman, hooked us up with exotic cacao nibs and vanilla beans and we opted to age them on an hearty imperial oat stout. Silky smooth texture, inky black in colour, and huge wafts of chocolate, vanilla and caramel. Subdued sweetness, and a light salty note takes you through layers of desserty deliciousness. This big beer is deceptively easy drinking.

Our 69th brew, is fermented with a blend of two traditional Old World style Saison strains, resulting in complex fruit character, and black pepper notes. This beer also uses a new hop called Meridian in order to impart a mix of tropical, berry, and citrus fruitiness with a hint of spearmint. All blended with herbaceous tones from freshly cultivated Wild Mountain Sage. This Saison has big rustic flavours, but with a nice lingering dryness
