We have all encountered the village idiot. In honour of them, a brew that can be recognized as an American Pale Ale or an India Session Ale. Puzzled and confused, this one comes out at a walloping “1” IBU’s as all hop additions are added post-boil and late in the process. The Village Idiot dislikes numbers anyways…Notes of citrus, tropical notes and nuances of passion fruit are balanced by a soft malt mouthfeel. Yar!

A timeless German classic with its pale-straw like colour, light-sweet profile, and crisp finish makes this bottom fermented lager a cornerstone in the beer world. The Energetic City has been a workhorse for many years, fueling our citizens where power is needed. Hydro dams play a big role in Peace Country including one of the highest earth filled dams in the World! That calls for a dam crisp pilsner if you ask me.

Style: IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale
ABV: 5.7 IBU: 49
Full of energy and flavor in tune with our beloved Energetic city, is the Pumpjack Kid Cascadian Dark Ale! Also known as a Dark IPA, is a well-balanced mix of two different worlds. The dark side of this beer carries the typical rich malty flavours, while the healthy doses of Pacific Northwest hops add a citrusy-resinous touch. Unlike most darker styles, the body of this beer is semi-dry, which makes it easy to have one after another. We find it has an absurd deliciousness reminiscent of chocolate, toffee, oranges, and undertones of forest. We have limited quantities folks, enjoy while it lasts!

The Super Neat Saison is a really neat beer that conditioned on a hefty 400lbs of local haskap and Black Currants for 2 months. An amazing collaborative effort from Peace Regions agriculture including FSJ Runacres farm and Grande prairies @haskapberryfarms make this recipe so darn neat. A very special shout out to FSJs own artist @toe.fish who drew up the label art and @saltchuckcreative in Prince George for making the label happen! You are going to LOVE this Summertime wobbly pop! How Neat is that!?!

We have reached that time of year for our “Unseasonal” one-off “Seasonal”. Is it wonderful? Heck yes it is, thank you. Over 700 pounds of lucious blackberries and blueberries were added to a kettle soured batch of brew with a small addition of milk sugar (lactose) for a little mouthfeel. Purple Haze in a glass full of juiciness, sourness, and smoothness like your best berry smoothie. This is a one time release for now so come on and get it!

Great place to stop for a growler fill and bite on a trip down the Alaska Highway! Highly recommend the Peach Ale on a patio.

Had an excellent plate of nachos and some dam good beer here. They had some great standard to style beers that really nailed it as well as some unique and delicious rotating taps. The IPA was good and the cherry wit was excellent. Definitely worth popping in for awesome beer, good food, and very friendly service.

Stopped in for an afternoon snack and a drink with the hubby after a morning of errands. Decided to try one of the loaded Caesars. This extravagant drink did not disappoint. If you're in the area and needing a pick me up, stop in for a locally brewed beer or expertly crafted Caesar!
