Style: Stout - Foreign / Export
ABV: 7 IBU: 70
Rich and dark, this full bodied stout has just enough hop bitterness to counter its big and bold malt backbone. BC Beer Awards 2016: first place in the British Stout category. Chocolate malt and roast barley yield rich flavours and smoky aromas of coffee and dark chocolate. Slight ester presence, with hints of pear and blackberry. This face-warming favourite was blessed by the late addition of Boreal Birch Syrup (produced in Quesnel at Moose Meadows Farm), lending it a truly unique flavour. Goes well with any hearty dishes, or try sipping it while roasting marshmallows around the campfire!

Style: IPA - English
ABV: 6.5 IBU: 48
As rugged as the terrain traversed by the 23 Cariboo camels, this IPA boasts a unique hop profile. Reigned in bitterness allows the flirtatious battle between the resinous character and tropical notes to play out. Look for hints of lychee, citrus and evergreen. This unfiltered IPA finishes dry, with an ever so slight malt influence. Don’t be alarmed by the hazy appearance- that’s just flavour with no place to hide! From mostly pale and Pilsner malt, with a bit of crystal and Munich, bittered with Nugget hops, and dry-hopped with Citra. Bonus: the story of how camels were used as pack animals during the 1860s gold rush to Barkerville.

Style: Red Ale - American Amber / Red
ABV: 5 IBU: 33
Two-time medalist at the Canadian Brewing Awards in the category of North American Amber Ale. This full-bodied ale is a bit of an enigma. Equal parts ISA, ESB, and west-coast amber, the sum is more than its parts. And worth its weight in gold. Brewmaster Troy Rudolph explains: This Northwest style amber ale is well balanced with just enough malt presence to keep the bold hops in check. The Northwest hops yield abundant citrus aromas and flavours, with a slight earthiness. This crisp ale has a medium dry finish, helping to showcase the hop contributions. Not quite an IPA, but certainly bolder than a Pale Ale. A rich and rustic, highly sessionable ale that will pair perfectly with your favourite spicy dish.

Style: Brown Ale - American
ABV: 5.9 IBU: 17
Keep the hounds at bay with this copper-hued, full-bodied monster that packs a silky, satisfying finish. This malt forward ale is rich and smooth, with slight hints of roasted barley. European style malts lend a sweetness and aroma, reminiscent of wildflower honey. The low hop presence makes this an exceptionally easy drinking beer- but watch out- the relatively high alcohol content will sneak up on you! Enjoy with just about any food, or try using as a marinade or in your next batch of chilli! Release the Hound!

Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.7 IBU: 19
A true classic ale made in the old Scottish tradition. This “Export” type is produced using extended boil times, resulting in the rich caramel flavours. The melanoidins produced during this long boil contribute their own flavour notes as well. With slight ester presence, this silky ale finishes on the sweet side. Keeping with tradition, Sternwheeler is lightly hopped with English hops. Enjoy with your favourite Scottish fare, or alone as an after-dinner treat!

Style: Winter Ale
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 19
This winter ale has a bright nose, with citrus, vanilla, and ginger right off the hop. It's followed by a sweet and light mouthfeel with just a hint of molasses. It finishes dry with lasting flavour of bitter orange and roasted barley. Spicy and sweet to cure winter blues, but not too sweet to have at least two!

Delicious ciders and beer! Great outdoor seating and they allowed our dog to sit with us on the patio. The nachos were DELICIOUS! We devoured them, or there would've been a photo. We'll be back when we're in town next!

I usually stop by to a local brewery when traveling. Their beer have fresh and nice tastes in all different kinds. Remarkable quality! Outside patio is pretty nice as well. Good cold beer in the hot summer afternoon, imagine that. Besides the taste, I'm amazed by their service. I bought the fine beer glass from them before I drove back to lower mainland. Unfortunately I cracked the glass while using it due to my own carelessness. I was quite sad 'cuz I liked it. The glass wasn't available on their online store, so I left them a message about my intention, though I didn't hold much hope. Surprisingly, they were willing to help me with that. I am SO grateful for their service on-site and online. Will recommend this and re-visit again!

Been here a couple times already and the beer is top notch. Food was good too, but the beers are truly the stars of the show.

Sweet spot in Quesnel! I had their juicy pale ale, and it was really good. Reminded me of Postmarks. They also offer a few snacks and pizza. I'd recommend checking this spot while in Quesnel. Cheers
