A rich Stout brewed with lactose, coffee, and vanilla. If you wanted to enjoy a cold beverage in the heat of summer before power came to Sylvan Lake in 1932, chances are you’d have been a patron of Bill and Flo Brown’s ice cutting business. Using a buzz saw and a small horsepower motor, the Browns cut blocks of ice from the frozen lake in the winter, stored them in sawdust, and delivered them door to door in wooden boxes from their 3/4 ton truck.

Stopped at Snake Lake on a drive from Calgary to Jasper. Great selection of beers and tasty snack foods. We particularly liked the Wasabi Ginger Rice Lager, Public House Mild Porter, Sidewinder IPA, and Snakes Near a Plane. Mostly we appreciated the great service.

Great service & atmosphere. The chicken and waffles was fantastic! I tried a flight of mini beer tasters because I'm not a regular beer drinker. A wonderful option for someone who wants to taste a little of everything. A great family atmosphere. Very clean. Dog friendly. Wheelchair accessible. A great place to chill with friends or family in a casual setting.

Love our annual visits to sylvan lake. We have been trying out all the local spots and absolutely love this one. Good beer, great selection and even cans to take a few back to our rental. We will definitely be back next summer!

Great beer and great service but I have to give only 4 stars because I've been here twice (once in winter) where when you walk in you are hit with the smell of the deep fryer grease. Its very off putting, in the winter we came for a pint but just bought off sales to escape the smell. It feels like it coats your body. I don't know if they need better ventilation or something At least this time around it was summer so we could go to the patio!
