Style: IPA - Cold
ABV: 6.8 IBU: 50
For this year’s International Women’s Day brew, we are collaborating with XHale Brew Co to create our own take on a very new style, the “Cold IPA”, which is sweeping across the USA but has yet to make its mark on Alberta. This mixed style combines aspects of both a European Lager and a West Coast IPA to create a very unique brew that is light in colour, crisp in finish, and heavy on hops. What better way to showcase this year’s Pink Boots hop blend? Our annual Pink Boots Brew is used to re-establish the conversation around women empowerment and inclusion in the brewing industry and we’ve teamed up with XHale Brew Co to help expand our reach with this important message.

Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse
ABV: 3.3 IBU: 7
A hazy, tart and crackery Kettle Sour with a hint of lemon. Try this traditional sour on its own or with our house made fruit syrups! A modern take on German Berliner-weisse with a tart acidity and surprising level of flavour and body for such a low alcohol beer, with plenty of malty, husky grain flavour and a pale yellow colour with some haze. Originally called Kettle Sour #2, Jumpingpound is the basis for nearly all of our Barrel-Aged Sour and Barrel-Aged Fruited Sour beers. We are bringing this classic back in its unadulterated form with a fancy new name, emphasizing the importance of the connection to nature and the versatility of this product that has been around all along, but quietly in the background.

ABV: 3.3 IBU: 7
This fruited kettle sour was first created last summer to celebrate Pride Week and due to extremely popular demand, it has returned in even more glorious fashion! We took our Jumpingpound Kettle Sour and refermented it over 90 pounds of blueberry puree before adding a hint of lemon zest and vanilla to create an extremely approachable sour beer. Bursting with fruity citrus and berry notes paired with a delicately tart and full mouthfeel, this beer is sure to surprise many and blow away preconceived notions towards sour beers.

Style: Sour - Fruited Gose
ABV: 3.5 IBU: 7
In Collaboration with Rising Tides Taproom, XHale Brew Co., and Wild Winds Brewery, we created this fruity, lightly tart beer in celebration of what ties us together. As women-owned businesses in an industry that still shows symptoms of institutional sexism, we try to break the mold and show our customers what an inclusive environment looks like. Utilizing the limited edition Pink Boots Malt in support of the Pink Boots Society, this gose (pronounced GO-zuh) also features acidulated malt and sea salt. It was fruited with prickly pear - a desert cactus which produces fruit reminiscent of kiwi, with a hint of bubblegum. It grows natively in dry, arid climates such as Mexico, the Caribbean, and Palestine.

Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 10.4 IBU: 77
A blend of 15-month bourbon barrel-aged and 3-month stainless-aged imperial stouts, further bottle-aged for 2.5 years. A deceptively smooth, full-bodied drinking experience without the sharpness of younger examples. Named for the atmospheric phenomenon that was originally coined in Alberta; Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement (S.T.E.V.E. for short), which appears as a ribbon of light across the sky. From its Aurora-watching inspiration, this barrel-aged imperial stout’s name represents a long process of studying and the amazing discoveries happening right here in Alberta in the sky and in brewery barrels. This big beautiful beer showcases what some patience and childlike wonder will do.

Style: Porter - Imperial / Double Baltic
ABV: 10.3 IBU: 36
We took Desperate Times, our unique take on a Baltic Porter, the 100th batch of beer brewed at Prairie Dog Brewing and aged it for 5 months in Tennessee Whiskey barrels, bringing bold yet smooth whiskey characteristics to an already rich and delicious beer. The malty sweet chocolate and light roastiness serve to introduce the warming backbone of its 10.3% ABV. Lagered and barrel-aged, this beer is smooth and crisp, yet full bodied and deceptively easy drinking for its alcohol content.

Style: Belgian Dubbel
ABV: 6 IBU: 20
This Belgian-inspired brown ale utilizes specialty malts such as Special B and Melanoidin to create a malt forward brew with flavours of caramel, burnt sugar, and dark fruit that is rounded out nicely with clove and pepper flavours from Belgian yeast phenolics and a floral hop character that leaves a lingering, moreish finish. A highly-attenuated beer that is medium bodied and dry on the palate, Dubbel Trubbel is easy-drinking and complex all at once.

Style: Porter - Imperial / Double Baltic
ABV: 10.3 IBU: 36
We took Desperate Times, our unique take on a Baltic Porter and aged it in a single barrel that once held California Zinfandel (2018 vintage), bringing mellow dark fruit, vanilla, and toast undertones to an already rich and delicious porter. Lagered and barrel-aged, this beer is smooth and crisp, yet full bodied and deceptively easy drinking for its alcohol content. At over 10%, this beer brings a fair amount of alcoholic heat that is beautifully balanced and mellowed from its extended barrel-aging time of 1 year. The resulting flavours resemble that of a glass of sherry or port with plenty of oak, vanilla, toast, and dark fruit notes.

Absolutely loved my visit to prairie dog brewing. Staff were super nice, the beer was excellent and the food was good too! Looks like it could be a pretty great place for live music. Looking forward to coming back when I'm in town again!

A great spot for family, friends, or large groups - everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I stopped by with my sister for a draft beer, and we loved the atmosphere. The location is convenient, and the staff is nice and friendly.

My family and I visited Prairie Dog Brewing for lunch a couple of months ago and man did we love it. It is very spacious which adds to the vibe of the place. The servers were very nice and were very helpful. Prior to this visit, I did not know I could purchase glass bottles to fill up with their drink options. The bartender at that time was very willing to educate me about it. The food was superb as well, my favorite was the cornbread :) I can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be coming back.

This is much more than your average Brewery. The quality of food in general and the meats specifically is excellent. Tried the brisket and the pastrami and both were fantastic. The beers were great as well.. the pia colada one had incredible fusion of coconut and pineapples. The IPA's were great and the ales were very crisp The place is very large and perfect to host bigger groups. Staff was helpful, polite and professional. Definitely recommended.

Decided to try out the restaurant and it was really value for money! The wings were great, as well as the pulled pork and brisket. And we were also delighted with the wide variety of beers. Absolutely awesome weather to sit outdoors for a chilled beer!
