Style: IPA - New England / Hazy
ABV: 6.4 IBU: 55
Recent bronze medal winner at the 2018 Ontario Brewing Awards and Big Hoppa 2019 winner. Brewed in the New England style, this hazy award-winning IPA is bursting with juicy tropical notes of pineapple, tangerine and apricot. Bitterness takes a back seat while the hop flavour and aroma can't sit still as they sing their hearts out in the front. A heavy dose of oats and wheat contribute to a soft, creamy body that carries this outrageous beer along its road trip. Hop on the shaggin' wagon and sing along. MOCK (yeah)...ING (yeah)...BIRD (yeah)... Come by the brewery, hang by the bar and put the vibe out.

Style: California Common
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 35
Now available in the LCBO and bronze medal winner at the 2018 and 2019 Ontario Brewing Awards. Our take on a California Common, a unique North American style with a rich history dating back to the Gold Rush era, this beer is based on our award-winning recipe. It has a moderate malt presence, intertwined with balanced notes of toast and caramel, finished with hints of rustic wood on the nose. It has a beautiful copper color that finishes as crisp as an autumn morning. So when your server or bartender asks what you’d like to drink, point at the menu and say, “I’ll have This One.” You’ll be glad you did.

Jeanne d’Arc, or Joan of Arc, is considered a heroine of France and was a feisty and clever military strategist. Known by her nickname, "the Maid of Orléans" (La Pucelle d'Orléans), she was certainly a strong woman ahead of her time and is well deserving of the namesake boulevard that runs through our community. We dedicate this beer to honour our Orléans roots and to strong women everywhere. Jeanne d'Ark is a creamy and delicious oatmeal stout with pronounced chocolate and coffee on the nose, a dense tan head, slight bitterness on the tongue followed by a smooth finish. Battle the autumn evening chill with a glass of this saintly beverage.

2018 Gold Medal winner at the Ontario Craft Brewing Awards. A cucumber wheat beer? There's nothing cooler when it comes to this fruit, so we said 'Why not'? We hand-peeled, cubed and dry-hopped this american wheat beer with 190 english cucumbers. The result is a refreshing ale reminiscent of cool, fresh rain, a slight grassiness, emboldened by a hint of pepper and citrus.

Style: Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 38
Recent Gold Medal Winner for European Pilsner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards! Same great beer, now in a smaller format! Available on tap and in 355mL cans, this lager is golden in colour with an assertive hop flavour, spicy floral notes and crisp, refreshing finish that pilsners are known for. We went old school using all Saaz hops, but the stray in us gives it a slight haze character. Make sure you Czech this German out, as we went all Pilzen on the malt.

Our Whoop Ass IPA leaps off the top rope with notes of candied tangerine, mango, and stonefruit with a subtle elbow drop of a piney, dry finish. Vicious amounts of Citra and Mosaic hops were pile driven into the fermenter to deliver the ultimate smack down on your taste buds. Ohhhhhh yeeeaaaah, brother! Style: Farmhouse Ale - Grisette
ABV: 4.9 IBU: 25
When loads of plump juicy raspberries step in to meet our first-ever grisette, little did we realize the path our beer would take. 50 Shades of Grisette is as enigmatic as it is delicious. We plunged headlong into this old-style of beer, and learned the grisette's true flavourful proclivities when paired with berries. The result pushes the boundaries of pure palate pleasure. Where Belgian saisons developed as restorative beverages for tired farmhands working the fields, the grisette was brewed to quench the thirst of those working in the mines. The name grisette literally means "little gray" and refers to either the gray stone that the miners dug through, or the gray-dressed women who served the ale. Light in body and low in alcohol, this grisette is a little bit of naughty and a whole lot of nice. Brisk, tart, light and dry, the ingredients used have come together in a true climax of bright and refreshing qualities, yet still has a complex flavor that is easy to drink. Perfect pairs include moules frittes or a nice, soft cheese, but is a welcome three-some to charcuterie.

Our blueberry saison is tart and dry with a naughty whisper of berry sweetness that will keep you coming back for more. One Friday night, between midnight and 2 a.m., we added 330 lbs of blueberries to our saison, hummed the theme song to Emmanuelle, dimmed the lights and let them get it on. All natural and all delicious.

This spiced autumn ale gets some of its alluring colour and character from the generous helping of pumpkin puree added to the mash, plus the brown sugar, fresh cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice added to the boil. The Count balances the wonderful flavours and aromas of Thanksgiving with the insatiable excitement of Halloween.

Bonehead decision or stroke of genius? We took our beloved Shaggin' Wagon receipe and super charged it!We slightly raised the ABV and gave it an additional round of dry-hops with mosaic cryo hops (concentrated lupulin pellets) for an extra layer of tropical intensity on this wacky adventure. Just when you thought we couldn't possibly get any dumber, we go and do something like this.... and completely redeem ourselves!

Don't let the size of the system fool you, Boombox has enough hoppy goodness blaring out of its speakers to make the neighbourhood file a noise complaint. Dry hopped to the same level of Shaggin' Wagon, this session IPA will blast your senses with huge notes of apricot, melon and candied peach. At 4.4% ABV and 30 IBU, this crisp quencher keeps the party going during the smoldering dog days of summer. We challenge you to find another low alcohol beer that delivers this much flavour.

From the same fools that brought you Moistly Mosaic IPA, we spared no expense with this egotistical monster of a beer. Double Impeachment is orange in colour with a fluffy off-white head that sits as boldly atop the beer as a comb-over trying to fight the laws of nature on a windy day. We weren't conservative with the flavours as huuuge aromatics of tropical, peachy and apricot goodness ooze from the glass due to the reckless amounts of Citra and Simcoe dry hops that were cast in the fermenter over two rounds (no need for a re-count). Juicy, assertive tartness, and dry finish make this our boldest IPA to date. Grab this beer while you can, it won’t be around for a second term

Style: Kellerbier / Zwickelbier
ABV: 4.6 IBU: 0
A kellerbier? Qu'est-ce que c'est? It's a young German-style lager, which translates to "cellar beer." Traditionally, the cold-aging period is shorter which makes the hop character more pronounced, and the beer is cloudier in appearance. We think this hazy lager is a real live wire, with subtle fruity aromatics, smooth mouthfeel, and rich malt flavour. Don't run, run, run, run, run, run, run away from this beer, it may not last too long!

Northern Lite is our homage to growing up on good-ole easy-drinking Canadian beer, but with our Stray Dog twist. Refreshing and crisp, with notes of biscuit and a slight citrus twist on the nose, this is a beer you can take to the cottage or lake, after a game of pick-up, or simply sitting around with good friends and hearty laughs. But don’t confuse it with one of those ‘big guys’ beers – ours is unfiltered yet refined. Kinda like us.

After years of studying the secret art of hops, this black IPA leaps out of the shadows and attacks the senses like a flying kick to the face. Darker than a fifth degree black belt, Black Eye combines a subtle roast character with a wallop of tropical, fruity hops. Never underestimate the element of surprise. 6% ABV, 42 IBU. This mean IPA was brewed in the hoppy dojo of Stray Dog Brewing Company in collaboration with Ottawa's own Alain Moussi, star of the Kickboxer Trilogy.

I need to start by saying how great the staff are at Stray Dog. They're friendly and love craft beer. We talked about breweries in the Ottawa area worth visiting, even ones in the GTA where I'm originally from. So they know their stuff. Which shows in the beer. I got a flight with some different options but the Shaggin Wagon was by far by favourite of the bunch. You get a good sized pour also for your flights which is great, and can get up to 6. Serving them in a muffin baking dish is genius. They don't serve food, just snacks but on the website it says you could bring in outside food, which is nice because inside and outside are both nice. The patio isn't large but it makes the most of the space and inside certainly is nice and feels nice and open. The location is in a commercial area so there is parking, but they don't seem to be open super late. Which is fine, this is a brewery to enjoy in the sunshine.

Friendly establishment. Small venue for music but good ambiance and acoustics. Small glass 7oz beers at smaller price is great allowing trying out more varieties. Best of all, dogs of all breeds seem to be welcome here!!!! They offer and host many events. A bit confusing when is what is happening tho. And some events are ticketed so need to inquire ahead.

May 2023:Been going to this bar since its opening, and now it has grown to one of the best stages for local musicians in Orleans and Ottawa. I've tried the karaoke nights and now it's my first time trying open night mic. Just an awesome night!!! Feb 2020:We had the chili cook-off event on Sunday and it was amazing, this place serves some of the best beers I've ever had. Come on down and checked them out...bring your friends, bring your family, bring your dogs. This is a pet friendly establishment.

Nice dog-friendly craft brewery. It was quiet when we were there on a weekday but it seems to have a good crowd. The staff were friendly and helpful. We tried the ESB and oatmeal stout and both were great. There is no fod since dogs are allowed. It's a stupid government rule in my opinion, but I would have have more dog friendly places like this anyway. It's a great spot - we'll be back.
