Style: Brown Ale - English
ABV: 5 IBU: 0
Our Brewmaster had a penchant for English ale, so he created something better, combining two styles of ales he fancied while studying and brewing his way across the UK. It’s an ingenius hybrid of a Northern Brown Ale and a Midlands Mild, with a body tweaked to give it a lighter, more North American appeal. Hints of roasted nuts, caramel, chocolate, and coffee combine to make this award winner one of Ontario’s best-selling craft beers.

Poured a light amber with minimal quickly dissipating head. No lacing. Thin texture, Sweet caramel aroma and flavour. Nice. Refreshing. No real bitterness.

A pair-with-anything beer inspired by none other than Thomas Hockley. This smooth, supple, golden brew is our nod to our history and heritage, and to the preferred tastes of a classic figure—Hockley Village’s namesake.

We brewed this light ale using the finest hops and signature blend of locally sourced and ancient grains. The result is a light, crisp beer.

Odd as it may seem, visiting the Hockley brewery has been an item on my bucket list for some time. And a recent trip where I would be otherwise stuck inside an expensive hotel nearby gave us the perfect opportunity. The actual brewery isn't publicly for show, and turns out to just be a small office for retail sales. As far as experiences go, it was a bit of a nothing-burger, and yet I still felt it was worth the time. The staff there were super friendly, and jovially answered all of our questions. I realized they must get the same questions from every tourist that stumbles in there, because there's a QR code taped to the desk which answers a bunch of them. Nevertheless, I placed a small order of my beloved Hockley Darks, had a nice chat with the proprietors, and went off to patron one of their recommended lunch spots. Attached is a photo of the delicious pairing of overpriced hotel food with my favourite beer.

Confused to where it even is. We thought we found it. Google Says open door locked.. Not welcoming at all. Odd place

We stopped not really sure we where even in the right place ( yes it is that unassuming door in an industrial park), however we where greeted with better customer service then we could have hoped for and also the beer is delicious! We will be back in our wandering travels.

Wonderful customer service! We called in advance to ensure they could receive us (retail), as it states on their website to do, and we arranged a time as they were in the back making beer. For all previous reviews on them not being open, it is a small shop and they focus on making the beer in the back where the phone and door is hard to hear - there are no full time store employees so likely why the door was not open during some other customer visits. Call in advance and leave a message like I did - they called back within minutes. When my husband went in to purchase a couple of items, the staff and brewmaster (Andrew) were supremely helpful and kind. Looking forward to trying the beer!
