Style: IPA - New England / Hazy
ABV: 6.7 IBU: 30

Pouring a vibrant cloudy yellow-gold with dense fluffy white head, it delivers bright floral and citrus forward aromas, while on first sip, get ready for wave upon wave of stone fruit, pineapple and melon flavours, finishing with a light hint of sweetness and low bitterness. This IPA is sure to quench any hop lovers thirst for "Juice"!

Style: Pilsner - German
ABV: 4.7 IBU: 15
A contemporary take on the classic German pilsner, ‘Sociable’ is crafted using the finest pilsner malt, German lager yeast and Czech Saaz hops. The end result is a pilsner that imparts notes of bread crust, lemon zest and pear, finishing with a subtle hint of spice. A gold medal winner at the 2022 Canada Beer Cup, this beer is a perfect for any and all social situations!

Style: IPA - Session
ABV: 4.2 IBU: 20
Our flagship session ale swoons the palate just like a swirling circular current, or an 'Eddy'! Dry-hopped with Citra and Galaxy, Eddy delivers ample grapefruit, tangerine and floral flavours with a well balanced finish that encourages repeated sessioning due to its low alcohol content and subtle bitterness. Don't be scared, jump right into an Eddy of flavour!

Meet 'Runner Duck', a crisp Canadian Craft Lager with notes of straw, cracker, and bread crust that finishes with a touch of sweetness. This beer is made as a tribute to Ontario farmers, who make use of our spent grains for supplemental animal feed, including our historic farming partner Apricot Valley Waterfowl, who breed and raise Runner Ducks!

Style: Bitter - Extra Special / Strong (ESB)
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 32
Named after a historic English town in Shropshire County and the road in Scarborough where Common Good calls home, ‘Ellesmere’ is our take on the classic English amber ale also known as extra special bitter (ESB) or strong bitter. Made in an approachable style using authentic English hops (Fuggles/EKG) and malts (Maris Otter), this classic ale has notes of biscuit, toast, caramel and fruit cake, and pairs fantastically with pub food, steak, and Indian curries.

Style: Lager - Japanese Rice
ABV: 4.6 IBU: 10
Traditionally, a ronin is a samurai without a lord. In this case, we've replaced the more traditional Sorachi Ace with a newer Celeia hop. So it retains all the pale yellow dry maltiness of a Japanese Lager, but is subtly lead by the citrus and floral notes of the Celeia. So this ronin may have a new leader, but sometimes change is good.

Style: Stout - Oatmeal
ABV: 5 IBU: 30
This rich Irish oatmeal stout gives off delicious notes of milk chocolate, vanilla bean, medium roast coffee and a whisp of smoke owing to a deliberate blend of imported malts from the British Isles, and is a fitting tribute to both the historic Irish county and the name of the Scarborough neighbourhood where Common Good is based. Smooth and rich, we’re certain this is a stout that you’ll repeatedly enjoy drinking but can also be used in your favourite stews, gravies and other culinary endeavours!

Style: Lager - American Light
ABV: 4.2 IBU: 10
Taking inspiration from some of our favourite Caribbean beers, we set out on brewing a light, crisp, and highly refreshing pale lager, perfect for just about any situation we can think of. This beer is hopped gently with Calypso, giving it subtle hints of pear, lime and melon. Relax and turn your brain off for a while, you’re on island time now.

Style: Porter - American
ABV: 7.2 IBU: 50
If this doesn't get your motor running, we don't know what will. A classic twist on the original Imperial Porter, this malt bomb is fueled by 5 different malts and Columbus hops, and roars to life with flavours of coffee, plums, raisins and figs. Take it for a spin. It purrs like a kitten.

ABV: 5 IBU: 30
If you’ve ever had trouble deciding between coffee and beer, this is your lucky day. We’ve infused our classic oatmeal stout with a rich, premium dark roast. It’s still the creamy, malty, chocolatey stout you love, only more coffee-er (which, if you’re wondering, is a highly technical brewing term).

Style: Kellerbier / Zwickelbier
ABV: 4.8 IBU: 20
Our most recent foray into the re-creation of classic beer styles has us tackle the German Kellerbier. Originating in Franconia, the style was historically an unfiltered amber lager when it was brought from the underground caves after a long slumber, but, due to the shift in market interest, now takes on a more pale hue. Expect straw, bread crust and a touch of spice, with a soft body and low carb. As is tradition, this one is best enjoyed in nature!

Style: Festbier
ABV: 5.7 IBU: 25
Germany has been responsible for so many immensely popular beer styles over the course of beer history, but Festbier is perhaps one of the lesser known styles save for its notoriety for being poured at Munich's annual Oktoberfest. Traditionally served in dimpled mugs called Maßkrug, this rich, full bodied golden lager features notes of honey, straw and freshly baked bread with a subtle noble hop spice and off-dry finish. Enjoy it while you can, it’s sure to go quickly!

Style: Australian Sparkling Ale
ABV: 5.5 IBU: 25
Picture yourself floating down a cool river on a hot summer day! That was the inspiration behind this highly refreshing sparkling ale, a member of the pale commonwealth beer family. The Citra hops impart tangerine, melon, stone fruit and floral flavours, finishing with a zingy carbonation.

Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.2 IBU: 35
For Wildstyle No. 6, we give you our take on the American IPA, a hybrid approach between a classic West Coast and contemporary New England-style IPA. Hopped with Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, Cascade and Amarillo, it opens with a floral aroma, and imparts orange peel, grapefruit, cracked pepper, pine and subtle tropical fruit notes on the finish. With this beer, East truly meets West!

Style: Märzen
ABV: 5.7 IBU: 20
Just like the Golden Lion in the Bavarian coat of arms, this "Marzen" (or "March" lager that is traditionally aged for the summer in preparation for Oktoberfest) is a Bavarian stalwart. With rich, malt and biscuit notes grounded in the distinct grassy spice of Hallertau hops, Golden Lion is sure to be the "mane" attraction (sorry, that was bad) at any celebration between now and Oktoberfest.

Meet Lupulus, the second in our series of aromatic dry-hopped pilsners, this time utilizing the New Zealand hop Wakatu. Crisp, bright and crushable, this unfiltered take on the style delivers hints of lime, spice and floral notes, making sure you know that this is no ordinary pilsner.

Style: Pilsner - Italian
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 30
July 24, 2023 marked the (early) end of Scarborough's iconic Rapid Transit (RT) train line after 38 years of operation. As a powerful symbol and stimulus for debate about transit accessibility issues, we decided to commemorate its legacy with an Italian Pilsner - the "Champagne" of lagers. With a backbone of a wonderful biscuity aroma from a European Pilsner malt, which accent the subtle grassy undertones, this beer highlights elements of spice and fruit amid refined citrus notes of tangerine from a subtle dry-hop. Refreshing and enjoyable; like the RT in decades past. Arrivederci and RIP RT!

Style: Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
ABV: 5.5 IBU: 35
Wildstyle makes its triumphant return in the form of this quaffable hazy pale ale, utilizing the experimental hop HBC 522. Smelling sweet floral aromatics and citrus fruit to open, we taste clementine, nectarine, peach and evergreen on a super soft body with a low balancing bitterness to finish. A pleasure to drink, this may just be our best Wildstyle yet.

Style: Lager - Munich Dunkel
ABV: 5.2 IBU: 20
A dark beer first brewed by Benedictine Monks in the 12th century, and later refined by the introduction of lager yeast and kilned malts, the Munich Dunkel is generally accepted as 'Der Konig' - or 'The King" of dark lagers. Our version pours deep brown with hues of garnet red and delivers a Wagner-like symphony of flavours including chocolate, toffee, port, toasted bread and buckwheat honey with a crisp finish. Long live 'Der Konig'!

Agitation, our west coast IPA, is back with a new and improved recipe. Hopped with Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe and Cascade, it opens with a floral aroma and imparts orange peel, grapefruit, cracked pepper and spruce with a hop forward finish. Our take on the WCIPA is a refreshing contrast to the current prevalence of more sweet and tropical fruit forward IPA's, which might ruffle some feathers!

Style: Stout - Russian Imperial
ABV: 9.1 IBU: 65
So, we aged our Russian Imperial Stout in Bordeaux and bourbon barrels. If that sounds good to you, wait 'til you taste it. You'll notice the traditional "stoutish" espresso notes, but the aging process has imparted a tapestry of currant, blackberry, tobacco, raisin and coconut flavours. Just as warming as a furry Russian hat, but way more enjoyable to drink.

Style: Sour - Fruited
ABV: 4.2 IBU: 10
For the third iteration of our Pretty Bird kettle sour series, we went with the classic stonefruit combination of peach and apricot, a perfect summer pairing. As always, the base beer is refreshingly puckering, this time hopped with Citra to provide a more tropical, citrus forward accent. Think fuzzy peach meets dried apricot, in the best way possible.

Meet Gekko (Moonlight) Ronin. A dark counterpart to our multiple-award winning Pale Rice Lager. This beer is velvety smooth with expressive notes of chocolate, roasted barley, toffee and nuts, with a super dry crispy finish keeping true to the Japanese dark beer tradition. Pair it with your favourite foods such as ramen, chicken wings and curry/rice bowls. It is the perfect companion to fall and winter nights, especially when the moon comes out!

Style: Lager - Amber / Red
ABV: 5.3 IBU: 23
For our third collaboration with local Scarborough homebrewer David Chang-Sang, we decided to revisit our use of Red X malts and brew a traditional German Red Lager (or Rotbier) with Hallertau and Magnum hops. Lagered for 12 weeks and naturally carbonated, our rendition imparts gentle malt derived flavours of bread crust, honey, oak and a hint of caramel, all while remaining highly refreshing and easy to drink. A portion of the proceeds of this collaboration will go to Agincourt Community Services located in Scarborough.

We teamed up with our good friends at Scarborough Spots (@scarboroughspots) and their online followers to make a unique craft beer that is quintessentially “Scarborough”! With the help and feedback of hundreds of comments we landed on a mango infused light lager that features a touch of scotch bonnet heat for added complexity. A portion of the proceeds of this small batch collaboration will go to Scarborough Health Network.

I just by accident happened upon this great local brewery. I was able to visit 3 times while on vacation with my extended family. The owner and employees were the nicest and very attentive. I mentioned I was a homebrew myself and was thrilled to be offered a quick tour & tastings. My favorite beer ended up being English Amber Ale & my son's was the Japanese Rice Lager. We went back for live music and a local even brought for all some homemade smoked pork sandwiches, which were very good. Here are a few more things I really liked about this place. Beer selection Tasting flights Live Music Friendly local vibe Homebrewing Library Free video game machines Nice view of brewing tanks Ability bring own food Only negative is that I live 800 miles away.

This place is a gem! The owner and staff are super friendly, making you feel right at home. Their beers are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is amazingthink craft brews meets arcade heaven. Tons of games to play while you sip! Food options are limited, but the best part is you can bring your own. It can get busy at times, but that just adds to the lively vibe. Definitely worth a visit!
