My (hopeful? Or hopeless?) quest to visit every craft brewery in Ontario took us to St. Catharines last weekend - Cold Break Brewing! My partner tried the Sublime hazy IPA, and one companion had a flight (5 selections). My decision was made before we even arrived. Endless Summer, the raspberry sour, was always going to be my choice.
Visiting on a Saturday, I felt compelled to take advantage of the Saturday stein special $12 for a 34 oz stein. What a great deal.
Cold Break will need repeat visits!
Highly recommended. I think a warm Saturday sitting outside with a stein of the appropriately named Endless Summer is definitely in our future.

We had a great experience while visiting Cold Break. The food was incredible & they have one of my all time favourite sour beers. Prices are reasonable and they have a good deal for two people. We got an appetizer, two main dishes and a dessert for approximately $55 (can't remember exactly). But perfect for a date night. Only downside is that they don't have a patio, but don't let that deter you.. one of my favourite breweries in Niagara.

Must visit place if you are looking for some great beers and some amazing food. Service was excellent and everything we had was great. The pretzels were standard but the cheese dip was really good. The whipped ricotta was outstanding and something you don't see often enough. The burger and fries hit the spot and really was cooked perfectly.

I went to Coldbreak for the firsts time this past week, I had called in advance and had a reservation for the trivia night there. After we were seated it took almost 20 minutes if not longer for our server to even come take our drink orders. People who were arriving after us were getting served and even getting their meals before we had even gotten to finish one drink. I was very disappointed in the service. When we finally did order our food I ordered the pulled pork poutine, while the taste and flavour was not bad, it looked like there was a cup of juice from the meat that was just poured in there and the fries got super soggy pretty quickly.

I had a 5 star experience. I went in Sunday afternoon at 1 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. The brewery has a beautiful exterior- brick facade, and a very nice secluded patio in the back. I tried a flight of surprise me' combination. The server did an excellent job. All the beer tasted good. I was personally surprised with the sour. It was very good and i could easily have had a ping of it. The year 3 was smooth. The lager, pilsner and red ale were fresh and flavourful. The Buffalo cauliflower cruncher was lip smacking good. The salmon was perfectly plated, cooked and I wolfed it all down. It's reasonably priced , great service, great tasting food & beer. What more could I ask for?
