For this Pale Ale, we hopped entirely with Huell Melon hops giving vivid impressions of summer melon and ripe strawberry bouquet. This beer has also been dry hopped, a technique used to add even more hop aroma. ABV 5.7%.?

This Cream Ale, is very flavourful. We used 6 row malt (higher protein and enzymes helps speed up conversion to fermentable sugars), honey (who doesn’t like honey?), flaked wheat and Vienna malt, which should provide a golden to orange color and a distinctive toast or biscuit malt aroma to the beer. For hops, we added Huell Melon (an exciting new hop variety) for bittering and Hallertau Mittlefru, considered to be the noblest of the traditional European noble hops varieties, which should provide some slightly spicy aroma and character. ABV 4.7.?

Made with 6 row malt, roasted barley, chocolate malt, huell melon hops and ale yeast. You will most definitely taste dark chocolate notes and roasted flavours. The term “Stout” describes something enduring, solid, and substantial. That is the essence of our chocolatey stout ale. We liken it to the history of our Nova Scotia Foundries, where iron was melted and casted to produce windlasses, stoves and tackle for the local shipbuilding and fisheries industries. Skilled Foundry craftsmen created moulds to produce the hardware on some of the great grand banks schooners. Old Foundry Stout is our salute to the enduring heritage and contribution of the Maritime's steelworking industry.

A light, crisp and most importantly refreshing beer, the Bluenose 100 Commemorative Ale was brewed using Canadian malt, noble hops, and the desire to create something that would honour the legacy that is the fabled fishing schooner herself, The Bluenose. Best known for her adventures during the “golden age of sail”, here at Saltbox we'd like to think we’ve entered the “golden age of ale”. On the palate you’ll experience a distinctive aroma of malty sweetness with a smooth, clean finish that will leave you dreaming of the high seas sip after sip after sip. Cheers!

We know that bears like their berries; its estimated that in a single summer they cam eat more than 30,000 of them. Thankfully we got to the Haskap berry first. Hazzberry Farms, a partnership of 28 Maritime beery farmers, sustainably grows these dark blue, oval-shaped berries (also known as the “honeyberry” so of course bears like them!) They are full of antioxidants and more Vitamin A and C than an orange. Offering up flavours reminiscent of blueberry and raspberry with a tangy kick, when we combine Haskap berries with the bright notes of apple, this Haskap Cider sparkles pink in the glass and is a perfect marriage of tart and sweet. We think you’ll find it bearie delicious.

English malt makes up the backbone of this beer, with just a hint of caramel malt to create its deep golden-red color. North American cascade hops offer a soft spicy character, balanced by the addition of German Mandarina Bavaria hops to provide the slightest hint of mandarin orange peel.

We wanted to make a beer that was loyal to those who long for a taste of the British homeland. Ours is brewed in the tradition of a Yorkshire bitter, using classic English Fuggel hops and Nottingham ale yeast that augments the flavours of biscuit and grass with a dry, spicy finish.

This beer is a tribute to East Ironbound Island and all the iron islands of the world where Scotch Ale is drunk. Ironbound Island is located south of the Aspotogan Pensinsula in Lunenburg County. The most famous of the many stories of Ironbound is found in Frank Parker Day's novel, "Rockbound'. The book is a thrilling seafaring tale about the harsh realities and tragic consequences of the fishing and family life of the East coast. But it also celebrates the strong cultural ties and great spirit of those who go down to the sea in ships to earn their living. Ironbound Island has inspired many artists and writers and was the location for the 2000 movie "Deeply" starring Lynn Redgrave and Kirsten Dunst.

As the witty English playwright Noel Coward noted, only “mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun.” Too bad he didn’t experience this cider, loaded with apples pleasantly steeped in the Annapolis Valley sun. Like a fine British gin, “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” has been infused with a variety of botanicals, offering up aromas of juniper, coriander, lemon peel and cardamom. Drink it as is, or mix it with a bit of Old Foundry Stout for a modern twist on a Black Velvet cocktail. We think it will put any stiff upper lip at ease

Visited it on the way to Mahone bay and had a flight of beers, nice atmosphere and there is food truck beside it for food, although we didn't have food. Nice patio with covers, good selection of beer. Good flavour although not super creative beer, very refreshing though. Parking right beside the brewery.

We were here during trivia and it was so much fun! The beer is pretty good and the venue is nice, but the trivia was the best part-so much fun!
