Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.2 IBU: 60
This citrusy IPA is made with 4 "c" hops: chinook, centennial, cascade, citra. The largest natural giant ever recorded was a man named Black Angus from Cape Breton. He would dead lift anchors to pass the time. If you’re a giant struggling to open this seemingly tiny bottle: 1. Hold it between the thumb and index finger of your left hand, being careful not to crush it. 2. Gently flick the cap off with the index finger of your right hand. 3. Enjoy the mouthful of ale, a delicious citrusy mix of Chinook, Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. 4. Repeat as desired

Style: Red Ale - Irish
ABV: 5 IBU: 25
Brewed with pilsner malt & roasted barley, hopped for balance & drinkability. There’s a bit of bite to Redcoat. That makes sense, really. There was a bit of bite to the Irishmen who stood up to the Redcoats, the British soldiers who invaded their lands. Those Irishmen were rebels. They did things their own way. They feared no one. We appreciate those qualities. So we’ve brewed Redcoat the Irish way, hopped for balance and drinkability. May it be the pint that settles your quarrels.

ABV: 5 IBU: 30
Inspired by our forefathers, this award winning ale imparts chocolate notes with just the right amount of hops. Oh we, the Sons of Hector Who fought the barren seas Who arrived here on these foreign shores Pushed down on bended knees Too few of us did leave Lochbroom And fewer still who landed Not a provision shared amongst us In a new world were we stranded This legacy we leave to you Our banner yours to carry The fighting spirit of the Highlands And an ale for making merry.

Seven hop additions lead to flavours of tropical fruits, berries, and tangerine, balanced by a caramel finish. This New England Style Pale Ale packs a lot of hop flavour without the bitterness.

60% wheat 40% barley, this German Wheat is brewed to let the banana and clove aromas Kick Arse! Stirling: the German beer named after a Scottish Earl. The same Earl who gave Nova Scotia its flag. Confused? Don’t be. At Breton, we do what we please. In this case, a light, refreshing Hefeweizen (half wheat) beer that’s 60% wheat, 40% barley, brewed to let the clove and banana aromas kick arse. If we want to name it after a Brit or wear white after labour day, we will. So go ahead. Colour outside the lines. Drink the German beer brewed in Canada named after a Scotsman.

What can I say that all the other kind folks haven't already said? Well, it's worth repeating... breton is such a wonderful spot to go and grab a delicious pint of craft beer. Not only are the beers delicious and well thought out, but the staff is top notch. Anytime we visit, Rocky has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome, educated us in the tasting notes and shares a few jokes. She really goes the extra mile to take care of the people in the tap room. Honestly, all the staff and beers are 6/5 stars.

Breton Brewing is an absolute gem in Cape Breton! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. The variety of brews they offer is impressive, each with its own unique flavor profile that caters to all tastes. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, always eager to recommend a new favourite for a newcomer like me. The taproom itself is cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet pint solo. Overall, Breton Brewing is a must-visit destination for any newcomer in the area. Highly recommend!

Visited on June 24, 2022, in the afternoon. Located off route 305, south of downtown Sydney and just north of highway 125, in a small industrial complex, it is the furthest building from Keltic Dr. An unassuming looking building with a silo at the far end, the inside is a typical industrial decor, with long high tables, high ceiling, windows looking out at the brewery room and a bar. Their beers were ok at best, despite I had their Crazy Angus two days ago and I really like it, their hefeweizen that I had days later was also good. The only food are snacks, but sometimes they do have a food truck. The service was nice, but they did over charge for a beer we did not have. It's an over all ok brewery.

Great beer and great atmosphere! Recently Cam helped me get ahold of some amazing merchandise and went out of his way to get it all the way to Alberta for me. Thanks BB!
