The chowder soup is pretty creamy, the bread is good. We got a $10 burger on Thursday night, what a bargain! The beer is a must-try item too! Team Canada win tonight!!

LOVE EVERYTHING about this place! - The brussel sprouts are insaaaaanely good. And so were the nachos and the Mac and cheese and fried!! Best food I've had in ages (to the point that I went two nights in a row) - they had lots of on tap options for beer drinkers! & A good selection of mocktails for me (their virgin pickled Caesar was delicious) - Service was excellent both nights! - the atmosphere is fantastic!! Lots of seating, great music playing, friendly staff. - very reasonable prices! I recommend everyone to here on their visit to YK!

The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent. If you're visiting Yellowknife, you must try this restaurant. It's a must-visit! SMOKED BRISKET DONAIR ($24): The base is a flatbread topped with a generous portion of smoky-flavored brisket. The taste is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and it pairs wonderfully with the sour cream. Despite the large portion, it's so light and delicious that you can easily finish it all. THE SHACK BURGER ($19): This burger isn't particularly large, but it's incredibly refreshing and pairs perfectly with a beer. The burger patty isn't overly juicy, but it's still very satisfying. Regular Beer Flight ($13): If you enjoy beer, you definitely need to try the beer flight. It consists of four beers with flavors that range from light to deep, each one distinct and of high quality with strong flavors. We even bought some canned beer to take home before leaving. Overall, this is one of the most satisfying restaurants I've visited in Yellowknife. The food is delicious, the beer is great, and the service is excellent. It's a bit of a pity that we didn't get to try the dinner menu, as I'm sure the fish of the day would have paired wonderfully with their beer.

It's a very busy place but I understand why! Great beer and great food. The chicken wings were so crispy and delicious. Many beers to choose from, you are sure to find one that satisfies your taste!!

I like their beer. I got a beer flight to try 4 types of traditional beer and I like them all. I also got the chicken wing with honey glazed flavor and it's very good too. This restaurant is pretty much my favorite in Yellowknife. It's also busy during dinner time as there is like half an hour wait time even for a single person. Service is good and they had good recommendation.

  • No Lights Tonight

Style: IPA - New England / Hazy

    ABV: 6.5    IBU: 50

A New England style IPA named after those darn hazy/cloudy nights that block our view of the #Aurora. This beer is packed with hop flavour without the bitterness. Instead, you have intense tangerine and pineapple flavours thanks to the Voss Kveik yeast. This Norwegian farmhouse yeast is new to the scene but ancient in it’s own right. The flavours produced by the yeast helps to complement more than 30lbs of hops packed into the beer!
