Style: Lager - Helles

Long Trek is a Munich Helles (German lager) brewed with Escarpment Labs' Isar lager yeast. It's super clean and refreshing, with a grainy-sweet malty backbone, subtle earthy herbal hop notes and a soft, yet crisp, finish. This brew pairs perfectly with long treks outdoors! So, why Long Trek? It’s been a long trek for us to be able to produce a lager. Lagers require much longer fermentation time than ales, which make them more difficult for smaller breweries to produce. However, with the recent addition of 2 new fermentation tanks, we were able to dedicate one to Long Trek, which needed 6 weeks to ferment (compared to only 2 weeks for our ales) to achieve the clean and refreshing taste profile we desired.

I enjoyed a flight of four beers, each with unique flavors. The salted stout was a standout, perfectly balanced and memorable. The food truck's grilled cheese sandwiches, especially the one with moose, were fantastic. Highly recommend a visit!

A beer for everyone. Firehouse ale and the sour were perfect. Got a little taster before to ensure it was to our liking. Food truck was good. Shared a prosciutto tapenade sandwich and the breakfast poutine... sausage and onions and hollandaise instead of gravy... yummy!!!

Great space, great selection of beers, great service and a food truck serves a great food as well. I wish to live closer to be there every week. Great thing is, they ship their beer all over Canada. Good job girls!!

Super fun place! Cozy indoors, lots of seating outside too, they even offer blankets and board games! They have live music events, karaoke, their beer is excellent (loved their Neipa). Dogs are accepted and bowls of water are scattered a bit everywhere for them. There is a food truck out back that serve grilled cheese and all sorts of fries. Favourite place on the Bonavista peninsula!

Great brewery! Really nice space, there's a lot of seating both inside and outside and both have a great atmosphere. They have a nice selection of brews which were all pretty tasty and the grilled cheese and fries were a nice addition. They also had an open mic and some live music which made for a nice night!
