Really happy to stumble across this place. Easy parking, nice tasting room (with food on the menu), lots of selection, great staff. Best of all, every beer we tried was excellent. Favourites were the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake IPA and Salted Lime Lager.

Misleading Hours & Unprofessional Staff Ruined the Experience Visited this brewery on Feb 15th a Saturday night based on their posted closing time of 10:00 PM (clearly stated online for Fridays/Saturdays). Arrived at 8:30 PM and were told the kitchen closed at 9 PM but drinks could continue, there were several customers in store. By 9:45 PM, a female staff member aggressively demanded we leave immediately despite multiple unfinished drinks. Probably it was because other two tables of customers just left in about 3 minutes, but she never asked anyone to leave immediately or even gave any notice about closing. When I politely asked for 5 more minutes to finish our drinks, (ordered 12 tasters which we PAID FOR, including gratuity), we were met with hostility: "No. You need to leave NOW." I mentioned the 10 PM closing time listed online and suggested they update their information if policies changed and we were acting to leave. Shockingly, the staff accused US of being "rude" - this was deeply offensive given our calm demeanor throughout, and I feel very uncomfortable to hear she repeated it for several times. While the beer quality was acceptable, the false advertising about operating hours and staff's utter lack of professionalism made this experience very badly. Place disrespect customers' time and money while gaslighting them about basic courtesy don't deserve repeat visits. I have never experienced anything like that in over past 10 years living in BC. Pro Tip to Management 1) Update your website if closing procedures change and beer selections on time. 2) Train staff to handle closing time transitions with basic civility or at least give customers reminder ahead of time.

Even if you do not drink alcohol this place has a lot to offer. Their nachos and chicken tacos are very tasty. On top of their beer selection, They have a few kombucha options as well I recommend the blackberry lavender Definitely try the tequila margarita slush! Overall its a small little neighbour hood place perfect for casual meetings, or just to get some work done as it doesn't get too loud. Nice interior too, would love for them to open up a patio in the summer

  • Russell Märzen

Märzen, which means “March” in German, is a classic German beer style created before the invention of refrigeration. Back then, brewers weren’t able to brew lagers during the summer months – temperatures were too high for the lager yeast to ferment properly. So in March, brewers would stockpile beer which was cellared in cold, dark caves during the summer. In October – when temperatures had cooled, and it was time to brew again – the remaining beer was pulled from the caves and enjoyed by the towns people in a celebration we now call Oktoberfest. Russell Märzen is copper-coloured lager which rich, toasted malt aroma balanced by the clean bitterness of German Hops and distinct noble hop aroma. Perfect for paring with roasted meats and harvest vegetables.
